My school has one now but none of the teachers know 'bout it, 5/6 fights in 4 schooldays after school! Wohoo! Time for me to let my rage out!
thats sweet. i wish i could find one. ive been punching myself in the face, giving myself black eyes instead. which is actually ,if you think about it, how edward norton started the one in the movie. and im totally serious. i really do it.
Fighting is so much fun. I love sparring in class. But some girl accidentally kicked me in the jaw in my class today, at full force. It really hurt, but I got to kick her ass later!
fighting for fun? interesting. ive only been in one real fight my whole life... i kicked her nasty ass. 24 yr old vs. 16 yr old (not fair) but i still beat her down=)
Man I suck really bad at fighting. I'm pretty good at kicking people in the shins though. I bet Princess could kick my ass but I think the only guy she'll fight with is Lynus. BEWARE THE WRATH OF MY SHIN-KICK.
Yeah, we do lots of self defense in my class. I know how to blind people, break arms (two different ways), fracture the spine/neck and tear every ligament in the knee! Any attacks better be afraid of me (unless they have a gun, then I'm screwed)! Other than that, I just know basic Tae Kwon Do kicks and punches. And I can break a board!! Lynus came to class with me once. I got to beat up on him (although he thought it was more funny than mean and scary). Crisco-If you really want to hurt someone, take your shin kick and aim it to the knee instead. When you kick, raise your knee (called chamber), extend your foot out, and then bring it back to chamber. Be sure to aim beyond the knee though to give it a lot of force. You'll cripple people that way!
Princess, No offense to your martial "art" but come a real fight, that **** would get your ass kicked. Most fights are not Jet Li stand up and kick someone as they lunge towards you with a punch that starts a mile away. 8 out of 10 fights end up on the ground. If you can't scrap on the ground, you better use your head and avoid any confrontations. I say this as a 2nd degree black belt in yes, TKD.
Coma, I don't disagree with you. My instructor is a 2nd degree as well. The self defense stuff has no martial art in it whatsoever. And I'm not saying it will always work, because I know it won't. I'm not looking to get in a fight, but I know how to punch and where it hurts. The reason he's teaching us self defense and we're learning it is to protect ourselves if attacked (not for bar fights). Part of it is being aware of what's around you and having confidence that you can do something. If you look like you're together you're not a great target. If I guy attcks me in the parking lot at school, I have a chance to at least get out long enough to run somewhere safe. That's the objective. I could care less about actual TKD (no offense, but if I wanted to take it for real, I would). My brother takes it and is about to get his black belt, so I know what it's about. All we do is slightly more than Tae Bo. It's an aerobics class with self defense. I'm not trying to say I could win in any fight. It's more fun for me than anything else. And it gets me in shape and gives me confidence. I don't see what's wrong with that.
