Ouch that was harsh. Basically you can say I'm only looking for people to actually give credit to McGrady this game. Yes Scola and the other players did a terrific job, but this game, I really think it goes to McGrady.

    No way.

Adelamn deserves some of the credit for putting new kinks in the offense, especially the high post.

    Scola played an outstanding game.

Deke had a terriffic rebounding game.

    Alston protected the ball.

    This team played well.

McGrady played like a Superstar. But that's what he is, a superstar. We don't praise Brooks for playing like a rookie. We don't praise Yao for playing in the post. We don't praise Adelman for constructing the offense and winning 50 wins.

This should be his usual performance. He will have off nights, and 50 point nights. But this is his average. Any deviation from this is how he should be evaluated.

Thank God he's finally shown up. I was waiting.

Let get the monkey off T-Mac the man deserved the love of us fans. If Yao could join us that would be nice. Let's take one game at the time and I do not mind take the next game and the next.

Tmac and every one on the Rockets outside of Luther Head played well. Of course any game where Rafer out plays Deron Williams is going to probably go well for us.

I certainly don't hate Tmac, but part of the reason people get frustrated with him for not doing more is because he is capable of having games like this or better, and yet can also go multiple fourth quarters in the play offs without scoring.

TMac is absolutely amazing tonight. I knew he could play like that and I hope he continue playing like tonight throughout the playoffs.

Nice thread... let's see if TMac can keep it up.

He shot 50% from the field which what he should be doing... what fans don't like about him is we know we won't see him shoot 50% two games in a row.

He's been bashed enough this week.. I'll enjoy this win.

McGrady put the SAME effort last night as he's put all series long. Difference? He was put in better position to score the ball. thus having a higher field goal percentage.

The only big difference i saw this game is that he was hot and his jumper was falling. If anyone here can't tell he's injured they're crazy. If he was healthy this would have been a 45 point slaughter.

Nice game by Tmac. That makes 1 good shooting game out of 5 games played. If he does it two more times I'll be impressed.

Be careful how low you keep dropping the bar for this guy otherwise he might trip over it and hurt his other shoulder.

Its amazing that 3 shots going in versus not going in can change the perception from so many on his effort in a game.

    the OP sucks.

i hate threads like this. this is the whole probably with the GARM. retaliatory, copy cat threads. It's not enough for you to make your comments in the original thread; you have to start a new one.

thus, the cycle continues. never to be broken.

the "Seeeeeee...I told you so" threads.

this polarizes the bbs, and makes people stick to their original arguments (ie predictions) rather than, you know, grow with the team...adjust.

T-mac will get his apologies . . .before the TMac Only Fans will apologize for dogging out the other Rockets

Are you TMOFs ready to Admit the Other Rockets are not INFERIOR talent???

look man, if you make it to the NBA, you have a lot of talent. it's the best basketball league in the world.

but we do have inferior talent if you compare us to the other playoff teams right now. that does not mean our players are not talented, they're "just not as" talented.

Well . . Until you guys apologize for Dogging out the other guys
you NOT see one for Dogging T-Mac out

He has Underperformed. . and people CONTINUOUSLY
throw the other Rockets under the bus just to Justify it
They are playing Hard and Making us Proud
As much if not MORE than T-mac

The Excuse he gets is. . he tired. . . Am I gonna apologize
for calling a 3 quarter player a 3 quarter player????

When he plays like he suppose to . . I give him props
He gets props for last nite
    but Apologize?????
Esp when so many Refuse to Apologize to Scola, Landry, Rafer , Battier, Brooks, BJAX, etc .. for basically calling the D-League players
    and worse!!!

    Rocket River
. . sorry I will stick up for the little guys . . more than the 20 million dollar man that plays . .sometimes
    I think I read somewhere
To those more is given . . . MORE IS EXPECTED!!

RR, you should know that I am not a TMOF.

And listen, why is it fair to criticize one player who had an aspect of his game not go well, vs another player who had an aspect of his game no go so well?? They are all on the same team, and the idea is that everyone contributes in some way to help the team win. As evidenced last night. Those who point out the defencies of other players are saying why are folks dogging T-Mac when X player had this bad aspect, while this player did this wrong, and this player did this bad despite doing this right.

Its the singling out of T-Mac because he makes 20M(the worst reason of all) or because he is the best player on the team that is what irks me. If the Series was over now with the Rockets winning the winnables and taking it 4-1, he would have been compared to Magic Johnson with his overall numbers of 24ppg, 7 APG, 7 RPG. I think too much is made of 4th quarter scoring from a player that does so much else for the team.

I think the lack of hatred for McGrady today, after a performance which was not TOO unlike his other ones is funny considering he is 3 more misses in 26 attempts from another below 40% shooting night.

Most of the T-Mac defenders arent dogging out the other players.

Saying the Rockets have inferior talent doesn't make you a McGrady only fan. I believe the Rockets have less talent in their rotation than the Jazz. BUT the Rockets have TONS more heart. That's been the difference in the wins
