If it's true, I think it will be better for him. He's a good man and he'll succeed somewhere else.

Cuban should've fired himself...now time to wait for Avery to go to Denver or Chicago

Not suprising given all of Cubans reactionary moves hes made. I hope JVG doesn't end up coaching the Mavs, that would suck.

Says the webpage in the first post? I've never even heard of that website.. and if ESPN radio reported it, shouldn't ESPN.com have it by now?

Any of you actually hear it, or read it elsewhere?

It looks like some wannabe trying to be the first to break the story... but it did not happen.

Shoot... any of you can register there and make an article...

It's "bleacher report" as in - you the fans, in the bleachers, make the reports...

Not exactly the "press" or "media."

We could be sited by ourselves too... we're on the interwebs, what we say is factual. :p

I doubt this has happened yet... it may... just not yet.

If this is true, Cuban is just trying put it on Avery Johnson instead of taking the blame for the Kidd trade.

BTW, I have to say that Avery was much less animated this playoffs than others. Perhaps, after Cuban rejected his offer to trade Dirk and instead traded away his project Devin Harris, Avery didn't really care too much.

I am also wondering if Josh Howard purposely played like crap to beg his way out of Dallas. This was a guy who used to shoot a very high % but shot a dismal 20 something % from the field in playoffs. He also didn't play high intensity defense like he usually does and he wasnt rebounding much either. The timing of his pot comment also has me wondering. Why would he do that? Perhaps getting back at Cuban for trading away his buddy Devin Harris?

Looks likes D'Antoni was also fired.

    http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/basketball/nba/specials/playoffs/2008/

SAN ANTONIO -- Mike D'Antoni, the NBA's Coach of the Year for the 2004-05
season and the man credited with re-invigorating fast-break basketball in a
league gone stale, will not be back to coach the Phoenix Suns for the 2008-
    09 season, SI.com has learned.

D'Antoni deferred questions about his job status after the Suns were
eliminated by the San Antonio Spurs in Game 5 of their Western Conference
first-round playoff series on Wednesday night at the AT&T Center in Alamo
City. "I'm just really proud of my guys," D'Antoni said after the Spurs' 92-
87 win that marked the third time in four years that San Antonio has ended
the Suns' season. He did not address his own situation. But sources within
the organization confirm that D'Antoni feels he does not have the backing of
upper management--specifically owner Robert Sarver and general manager
Steve Kerr -- and considers the situation irredeemable.

Dude, I don't care either way...

I'm just saying I doubt it's happened quite "hours after" as the Brownie Scout in the picture is trying to "break" to us.
