Are you suggesting that Chuck Hayes is a more profitable asset for the Rockets than Tracy McGrady?

    AI/YAO/TMAC = Championship

T-Mac plays the point and AI is back at his natural SG spot. Add Yao on the inside and its game over.

Fortunately, our GM has that secret, money-growing tree in his office to pay for this plan.

I respect and even admire AI,but he does not fit Rox ,that is ,he is will not be profitable for the Rox unless he is paid half a million ,though we all have to admit that AI is worth 15milllion and 20million,but his value in the current Rox can not be higher than half a million, though his value can be 15milllion and 20million in another team that just fits.

It is not the question of what a player can get or what he is worth,it is the question of if a player is fairly paid compared to what he contribute to the team.

If we are rational ,as investor and fan alike, we have to admit that investing tens of millions on some player is not profitable, but that dose not mean that the player is not that valuable or he player bad,it just mean that some player just is not profitable in the Rocket team, though he ,though paid same is profitable in another that fits.

NY paid most, but with a what a team.

I honestly don't think A.I is "The Answer". He hasn't "answered' the nuggets yet, and as a leader hasn't been able to lead the nuggets, a team filled with insane talents.

A.I may have heart, but IMO a heart of selfishness. He wants a ring, but he wants a good contract as well. He may have passion for the game, but his passion for the game is whats hurting the nuggets. Sometimes, he just needs to flow with the offense and pass the ball out more often. Not just to Carmelo, but his entire team.

I won't go for Allen Iverson, but I would go for lesser PGs like Jason williams.

If you want to build an injury prone all star team he'd be a good fit.

This is his 13th season. This was the first time he's able to play all 82 games since '02-'03 season.

He'd be welcomed at first but the bashing will start as soon as he hurts a body part and can't play some games... just like what's going on with TMac and Yao at the moment.

we should try to get iverson for several reasons.

    1. though he may be injury prone, what can we do? u suggesting we trade tmac or yao for a healthy all-star? not going to happen. cause no one else wants an injury prone player. so why not gamble even more? plus, AI is the toughest player in the league, small injuries (like that finger one he has now) will not make him go away and wither. he won't make excuses about the injury, saying, oh i can't do this like i wanted too, or crap like that.

    2. our two stars, may have some talent and skills but lacks the showing of heart, ai. francis was suppose to be that guy this year, but he was injured, so if he comes back, a backcourt of ai and francis could be alot better than people think... or worse.

    3. and just the simple math equation. Iverson > Battier + Luther + Bobby

    or whoever you put there.

although AI has been really durable in the past, I have no doubt that as soon as the Rockets sign him he'll need season ending surgery on his knee, shoulder, and left pinky finger.

I wouldn't trade Tmac for AI straight up. Why trade our second best player from a team that challenged for the top seed for the second best player on a team that barely made it into the playoffs?

AI still has alot to offer and I would love to see him on the team and hope at this stage of his career he would take a pay cut to come play with us. He may choose us because we need him and could contribute towards us becoming a contender.

If he really wants to win just a championship he might as well take a pay cut and play for Boston or Cleveland.

i think denver would beg us to do that.

can you imagine a damn lineup of tmac, smith, melo, martin, camby? no, i don't want to make denver the best team in the L.

AI's tenacity is not worth all what we would lose with T-Mac. Defense, rebounding, getting others involved, decision making, backcourt size.

Yet these are the same people who complain that T-Mac is a ball-stopper and ruins the motion offense. If this happens lets see how many of these same people get pissed when AI consistently gambles and gives up easy buckets to his man. Or when AI tries to take his man while everyone stands around. Or when Yao has established position and AI dribbles off 15-20 seconds to put up an ill-advised shot. Or when AI is subbed for Luther Head, and we look at our guards and none of them are taller 6'3".

Sorry for the double post but....

AI - barely made playoffs with a FULLY HEALTHY team, 2 of the top 5 scorers, a DPOY, and 2 guys capable of giving you 20 off the bench, got swept with little resistance

T-Mac - contended for #1 seed with a banged up team ALL SEASON(including himself), walks into the playoffs without arguably the best center in the league, several D-Leaguers, next best 3 players playing no better than 65%, and giving a physical team all it has and making them earn everything. And he's averaging a near triple double

I wouldn't take AI, despite his scoring prowess. He's selfish, too small, and not a great shooter %-wise.

I'm sure getting him would be damned near impossible, for a host of reasons, but can you imagine the shoe contract he'd get from a Chinese company?

If you added Iverson to our existing roster we would rule the world. I really love the idea of using Iverson in a Ben Gordon/Manu Ginobili type role. He comes off the bench and dominates the second team. Closes the games fresh.

Oh god. I love this idea.
