Nobody sees TMac as a bad guy. But you can't call yourself elite if you never pass first round.

It helps that he is playing with Dwight Howard & Rashard Lewis.

I agree, but don't forget he's playing without Yao & Rafer did not play the first two games of the series.

J-Rich, Stephen Jackson, and Monta Ellis are much better than anyone playing for the rockets right now not named Tracy McGrady.

Those stats actually make me happy though. I have been under the impression that Tmac has just been sucking and just declining but those shooting percentages are WAY below normal averages for him and it shows that he's playing through some serious injuries. I can't see him shooting this poorly when healthy.

People here do see t-mac is a bad guy. Why are fans rejecting that fact. Come on you guys love to say T-mac blames his teammates and coaches right?

Lol its funny how quick the fans change. Once they finish digging ideas from mud, they start digging from concrete.

I'm showing barkley more love now after this.

Dunno how to say this but usually, if someone who is hard on you all of a sudden goes soft on you??? That usually means they have given up on you.

I think Barkley has come to the conclusion that this is as good as TMac is gonna get.

I still like TMac but not for the Rockets.

i would lose respect for Tmac if he did cry cause of what some TV people said about him.

Besides, Chuck and Magic have always been good about not attacking players unless they are Dirk and gets his David West slapping him.

if they did something they wouldn't do back in the day.

It is truly a shame that McGrady doesn't think he can learn anything from one of the fifty greatest basketball players of all-time.

People think Mac is a bad guy because of his last year in Orlando. He got in alot of fights... kicked the ball into the stands... not good images.

Barkley basically insulted McGrady, what T-Mac did was in retaliation. I'm not agreeing with what he did but there was do process.

You know, I'd be really intersted to know how much of an effect that shoulder is having on him. I know from when I've had shoulder pains, there is nothing more physically draining than a shoulder injury since it makes simply lifting your arm a chore. I can't imagine what having to jack up 30 shots and play 40 minutes plus practice would be like.

Obviously T-Mac won't use taht excuse, but I wouldn't be surprise if this is simply injuries coupled with the fact that he has to do EVERYTHING slowing him down.

One other thing. What the hell is with people who are litterly ANGRY with him? He's giving it everything he's got. He's nearly averaging a triple-double, you think that's easy? Especially against the, as someone else put it sarcastically, karate chopping jazz? His shot isn't there and he's having trouble driving to the basket in this series (maybe injury robbing his explosiveness?), but that is no reason to just give up on him. How about this, Yao sucked last post-season. Should we trade him?

He's not an MVP candidate, not even close. But he's giving it everything he's got, it's not his fault he's been dealt a sour hand.

Now the free-throw shooting is bad. That there is no excuse for. It's probably just mental now, he needs the offseason to forget about it.

I agree how many players are averaging 23 pts a game in the playoffs ! Yet I think we expect him to be a player like Kobe and take a game over ! If he averaged 30 pts a gm then the Roxs wouid have this series locked up !

is it an insult when you tell it like it is?

anything to motivate Tmac is considered a good thing.

also, notice how the Yao fans here never admit to him EVER having a bad game?

if you stink it up you stink it up, I don't care if you are Yao, Tmac, or Lutherhead. We shouldn't feel sorry for you.

why are people so sensitive here? its just freaking criticism.

How long have you been following Barkley's comments about this team? He's been ragging on the Rockets, with few exceptions, for ages. He changed his tune after T-Mac's performance in Game 2 and only after Magic Johnson started the praise.

He'll be back to his typical Rockets-bashing in no time.

Chuck's right about one thing: some media perceives TMAC as a bad guy. I never understood that. TMAC is an unselfish player and a decent teammate. He may not be a great leader, but he's not a headcase or a cancer in the locker room. I just don't understand why he's conceived as a bad buy by the media.

How long have you been following T-Mac?

I'm not necessarily saying Tracy deserves it, but the answer to your question is pretty obvious. Look no further than his days with the Magic.

And, it's not so much that the media thinks he is a bad guy as much as they just won't let him forget the mistakes of his ignorant youth.

The media sees guys like Artest and Pacman Jones as the bad guys.

They merely see Tracy as foolish and cocky.

I would rather to see T-Mac score 20 and the rest of the team chip in double digits for each person because we have a better chance that way. BJ last game was terrible hopefully he will come back this game and Luther where he is in the playoff? Rafer will have his game, Louis needs to be more aggressive try not to pay too much attention to the official, Shane needs keeping on three and defense, Landry needs his monster rebounding, T-Mac is just being himself get everybody else involved, Chuck wagon needs to play more pick and roll with T-Mac, Dek needs to use his finger and elbow more. Last thing if someone tries to get to the pain make sure it spell painful.
