Me thinks BirdFan won't be showing his face around here again. He (or she) seems a few eggs short of a nest, so to speak. :D

    Probably a Celtics fan?

I know how good Steve is, and I know how good Steve is. In 4 years, Jason Williams will be exactly where Marbury is. Steve Francis has been averaging a near triple double since coming back from injury.

Steve had his bad moments, but he DID and DOES belong. He had some great passes. To Webber, and two to Kobe. He didn't play much, but he got 3 assists. It's not like Brand or Baron tor it up. I'm telling you, he just set the stage for a migraine-less MVP performance next year. Who else will become the starter? Payton? Not anymore.

That pass to Webber. Anyone else wonder what it would've hit if that were Kevin Willis? lol. Don't wanna know.

First, I would like to thank DearRock for defending the simple fact that I was trying to recommend a possible way to improve the team. Second, for the majority of the replies to suggest that I am ignorant demonstrates nothing but prejudice. To judge me after one post is just as effective as me judging Steve on the AllStar game alone. I certainly am considering his career and not just one game.

I agree that the migraine thing can be a serious affliction. I just wonder if it was the case since he appeared in many of the events throughout the weekend.

To be honest, I could care less about the AllStar game. I just use it as reference because, and you have to agree, it is the one time that we see the best of the best interacting with each other. The cream of the crop tends to rise and the rocks tend to sink. I'm just describing what I saw - migraine or not.

And to SteveFrancis3 - ignorance is bliss isn't it?

the way i see it there are 3 posibilities why this poll is made

1 Birdfan has a funny sence of humor. saying something so tereble stupid about a fan favorite and watch how fans get mad. :D
2 Birdfan is blind and has never seen a baskletbal game:cool:
3 the best option Birdfan is williams in disguise. and wants to play for houston but thinks he won't be drafted by The rockets aslong as they have Francis, so he tries to get the rockets to traded him:rolleyes:

Sorry Birdfan but it just doesn't wash. Everybody here knows you for what you are...a troll and a hater. His presence at the dunk contest and then the all-star game were not just completely deserved but were a testament to his courage in terms of playing in excruciating pain that was detrimental to his sight and sense of balance. Which we should all be fair enough 2 agree helps in the game of bball. Jason William is never gonna be as good as Stevie. Ever. The thing that pisses you off is that the Celtics are doomed in the land of mediocrity. Your record will stay too good to get any real players outta the draft. But itz due 2 the fact that the East sux it big time. Walker is a 4 that shoots 39% and is very talented but unlike Stevie is no winner. Pierce is an excellent player and a star even but he is playing to his potential right now and that can't carry a team to the promised land. I kinda like Joe Johnson but though they play different positions I worry he's gonna be similiar in effect to a Joe Smith. So you keep pumping up your record over there while if u were n the west you and I both know u r a 500 ballclub. The Rockets have taken our licks now in the Wild Wild West and good draft or not, and good trade or not next year we are gonna bring it and the years following promise to be contending ones quite different from your future of pretending ones. Jacka$$.

    BirdFan-

As Juan Valdez already pointed out, it is hard not to judge someone when their first statement is the one above. Anybody who knows anything about sports history and fans recognizes that Houston, despite having small groups of obssesively devoted fans, has one of the most fickle fans bases in the country overall. To even hint at us having the best fans in the league is ridiculous.

Seeing how you started, and how the rest simply blasted our star player based of 1 game (not a whole collection of them as you later claimed), you can see how it might be difficult for people to take you seriously.

If that is your goal you should have used your second post in this thread as the opening one and then some people may have taken it more seriously.

Oh, please. Your thread was a complete bashing of Francis. Also, trading away the superstar, heart and soul, best friend of many of the other players, a fan favorite that the team can't win a game without is not something that would improve the team.

Funny, that's what you just did...
Anyhow, as Dear Rock said, the idea can be considered, but if you honestly wanted to make a serious discussion, maybe you shouldn't come off blasting the most well-liked player on this bbs in your 2nd post, huh?

Exactly. It's an EXHIBITION game, a game to entertain the fans and for the players to have fun. So you are saying Francis isn't the cream of the crop, but one of the sinking rocks based on one game, where the players run around throwing alley-oops and trying out some of their playground moves. Players do have bad games sometimes you know. Many of the 1st time All-Stars among others didn't perform up to their normal standards. Damn, Allen Iverson had 5 points in 25 minutes on 2 for 9 shooting while playing on his home court! Geez he freaking sucks! Once put up against the best talent in the league he showed his true talent. If Sunday didn't prove that getting better players around him is not the answer, then I don't know what could. Trade him while he still has some value. Get Dejuan Wagner in the draft and use him for cap/talent leverage.

Oh the irony...I'm glad you liked the new smilies I tested out.

Hey Birdfan, is Iverson or Kidd the cream of the crop? Iverson scored all of one more point than Francis.

Yeah, those guys really don't deserve to be in the All Star game.
