    Hilarious. The funniest part was Melo saying they got the 8th seed by not playing defense so why change, was that even real? Also, no player has stopped Kobe in the past couple of years, no team has beaten the Lakers in a series by shutting down Kobe.

    I think the best part is that these quotes could have been real. Hence the replys in this thread. Karl could have said that jokingly and JR smith was talking smack to kobe during the game so...

    On paper they're seriously one of the deepest teams and should be so much better than they really are. Such a travesty. If JVG were coaching the Nugs he would do wonders for that team.... at the same time he'd probably be completely bald.

    If the Nuggets just played defense, they have a legitimate chance to beat the Lakers. They've shown the can score points with the Lakers but you can't win if you don't play some type of defense.

    Well you'd imagine so, like damn Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony, that's two all-star players that are amazing scorers. They can be pretty scary at times, atleast on the defensive end lol.

    I actually thought this was real on the first read through. I thought George Karl was being sarcastic, and JR Smith was just being a dumbass. Both are plausible.
