About 5 to 6 hours, sometimes less. No longer get to sleep in on weekends, since I have twin 1 year olds....

I can get by on very little sleep. I guess I'm used to it - my job requires me to fly half way round the world, go to work, and then return to work, sometimes in only 4 days!

I read once that humans are actually on a 25 hour biological clock. Why, I have no idea... evidently some experiment was done, and when people were kept isolated for a few weeks, that's the cycle they gravitated to. Weird...

I average between 6 and 7, but not continuous, for some reason my 3 year old son is in the habit of waking up in the middle of the night and coming in to get me to put him back to bed..

    ARGH !!!

    About 6.5 hrs.

About 10 years ago, I went to sleep at 9:00 pm because we were going to play baseball early morning. I wanted to wake up early. Anyways I wake up and see the sun on the horizon outside. I am like "aahhhhhhhhh perfect"! I thought it must be like 7:00 am or something. Well at least till I saw my whole family frekin runnin around doing their thing. I was like "why is everyone awake so early"? I looked at the clock and it said 7:30. Well then my mom told me its 7:30 PM!

I still have no idea how I slept straight for 22.5 hrs!

I have no idea how much sleep I get, since I don't keep a regular schedule. If I'm sleeping only at night straight through, I need at least 7, but I can get by with less if I spread it out. A lot of times I take a 1-2 hour nap in the evening and then can get by with 4-5 hours at night. When I have a lot of work, I take more frequent and shorter naps.

I can do just about anything as long as I get 3 hours in one night. Usually it's best to get them over with early (starting at midnight) and then wake up. It won't hit me until the next day, and by then I've turned in whatever was due the day when I had to pull the all nighter.

It's been a long time since I've slept straight through the night. My husband usually stays up until 3:00 and I have trouble doing that sometimes, but it's kind of depressing to go to bed all by yourself. It's considerably less depressing to say, "I live here, I can do what I want, I can just lay around and sleep and not go to bed yet." Of course, this is usually for a couple of hours; he comes in and goes to bed and then I get up and finish whatever I had to do.

Since I've been writing my dissertation, I'm not really on anyone's schedule. They're right about that 25-hour thing. I started sleeping later and later and then I was on some schedule where I'd sleep from 6 a.m. - noon. Sometimes that would be fine; sometimes I'd need a nap. (I can sleep indefinitely... way more than anyone should... if I get the chance.) Then on Sunday it really hurt to get up for Sunday School, so today I made myself get up before 10:00. I'm trying to get on a more normal schedule, but I may give it up by midweek. Whose business is it when I sleep anyway? My cat gets to sleep all day... *sigh*

I usually get about 8 hours per night/day during the week. On weekends and holidays I get closer to 10.

Yeah, especially since there are times I think you post in a sleep deprived state.

Man my sleep habbits are so messed up it's not even funny.

With school and stuff some days I get only like 3 hours of sleep but on a normal night it's more like 6.5 hours. I found after a while of not getting enough sleep I cant function in the wee hours of the mornings so I've been known to go to bed at 2am and wake up at 4am to finish something for that day.

On weekends I'll go to bed at like midnight because I am usually so tired from the previous week and then get up at like noon.

Once this summer I was out really late and didnt get to bed until 4:30am and I had to be at work by about 7:15am (for an 8-9 hour day). I was so glad that day that I worked in a coffee shop.

    I miss my college schedule:

    Wake up at 7:55.

    Class at 8:00.

    Classes done at 12:00.

. . . rest of day, no school, some work, hanging out . . .

    Start homework at 3 AM.

Take a break at 3:10 AM

Say "Forget it" at 3:50 AM

    Asleep by 4 :)

    Weekend:

    Wake up at 2 PM

    . . . Day . . .

Go to Sleep at 5 AM to 7 AM

I would say about 7-8 hours a night.

DOD, I have to ask...How do you do it?

    3.5-4.5?
