So, Baron Davis is an iron man all of sudden? Did you watch him down the stretch? Golden State's roster has a whole lot more talent than the Rockets currently do. Have you followed his career? He's not exactly the picture of health, either. I don't see Baron Davis getting the Rockets to 50 wins over the last two years without Yao for half of the time like McGrady has. As for plan B, those "physical, skilled, mean, determined and relentless" beasts don't get traded for injury-prone guys make $20 million per year. Baron might be the best we could get, but don't kid yourself that he's better than McGrady. He's not.
No offense, but it's not good BBS etiquette to make 4 posts in a row in the same thread. At least that's always been my impression.
I could have tried to wait until somebody else posted and spread my posts out that way, but it seemed like too much trouble. Besides, there were at least four or five (or more) responses to my posts in the thread. Simply replying to them all was going to necessitate a string of posts.
Are you crazy?? Yao... I do feel sorry for him though, b/c Houston fans are very shortsighted and have short-term memory.
Tracy could have played a lot better in game one. However, we are in the same predicament we found ourselves in last year's playoffs. Chuck was always out there so it wasn't a problem to double Yao and Tracy. Well now, Deke/Chuck are out there and the only double they have to deal with is Tracy...gotta be easier for them to be able to clog the lane
BTW, this is not decided by houston fans. It will be decided by Tmac himself. I believe, if he wants to move, many teams will want him.
You know, there is a difference between a TMac fan and a Rockets fan. TMac fan just wants TMac to succeed regardless of how the team fares. Rockets fans just want to see their team succeed regardless of who plays for them. I hope you get why fans can't see eye to eye and why Clutch BBS will live on forever.
I don't know why you would say I was a Tmac fan. My point was to emphasize that someone who appreciates the game as a whole, not blinded by love of a player or team, can appreciate what Tmac does for the Rockets (and the teams he has played for in the past). Instead of bashing the guy for what he doesn't do on the court, maybe we could appreciate what he does do for the team. Trust me, I am not someone who wants Tmac only to succeed. That would be pointless, but as a fan of the game and of the Rockets I can see what talent he shows on the court and appreciate it. The article says a lot about what someone from the outside, and with more perspective, sees in Tracy McGrady. To sympathize with someone isn't to absolve them of all fault, Tmac has his faults but we have to appreciate the good despite the bad, as we do with any player. If anyone can epitomize that, its me... perhaps you didn't see who my favorite player is in my screen name.
