Last night T-mac played, well, Brooks/Jax played well, Scola did his thing, Battier played hard, and we go the most that we will out of hayes. It still wasn't enough...at home. So that only leaves us with one hope. That Landry - somehow can show us some of that form where he dominated during the streak and became a game changing force. That's it. Rafer's return won't do much because you can't improve on jax/brooks performance that much. Nor can t-mac do anymore. Landry kido - we need you to shine on Thursday, and if everyone plays like they did last night, we have a shot of winning.
If we are relegated to needing a career playoff performer who shoots .320 FG% and .272 3pt% then we are doomed
yes and we are relegated to needing Rafer to shoulder some pressure off TMac and Bobby, pretty sad isnt it?
I thought getting Landry involved for game two was key but apparently that ship wasn't meant to sail. He's been so up-and-down all year, maybe he's due for a big game? Let's hope so since we played about as well as we possibly could last night and that still wasn't enough.
lol you guys realy think landry can help us that much? i mean if you wanna blame tmac for being soft because he is injured or not driving or dunking as hard at least blame landry for ****ing sucking big time in the playoffs so far he has been HORRIBLE... missing layup, getting rejected, airballed a wide open shot he is not that good and far from our savior brooks on the other hand has been great out the bench and i hope he sees some PT with bobby once rafer comes back rafer is the only one that can save us and not landry Mcgrady of course will need to try to play as good as yesterday wich i doubt he can.. that was the best overall game i've ever seen mcgrady play (tru 3 quarters)
Landry wont have a big game this series because the Jazz has the toughest defensive frontcourt in the league. They will never give Landry a dunk (where most of his points come from) and they are actually athletic enough to stop him. Adelman isnt giving him playtime because Landry isnt hitting his FTs when he got fouled. again, the Key to winning is for TMac and Rafer to dominate
Landry is still on this team? Landry's play during The Streak got the whole board excited. His play was a big reason why many of us thought we could still be a force in the playoffs without Yao. Without his energy around the basket were wayyyyy to soft. I can't believe how far he has dropped off...injury or no injury. I guess we don't have to worry about signing him now, I'm sure his stock has dropped big time now.
First of all Scola didn't do his job. He still can't make layups which is just sad. But than we have to start knocking down those shots from the outside. Everybody has to step up offensivly because we can't put everything on McGrady.
I agree, something is wrong with Landry and another thought is....why not start Loren Woods? He has to have better hands than Mutumbo and has to have a better offensive game......
Landry was never the type of player you need to open the floor for. Before he lost his explosion he was a guy that needed someone to drive and dish it to him in an open space. I watched him not finish at the rim repeatedly at the games, he isn't the answer. Plus, you got it backwards buddy. The inside game needs to open up the outside game. We need Hayes/Scola/Landry/Mutombo to finish all those gimmies or else it won't matter if we make our outside shots. Why is it that Brooks/Battier/tmac finish better with boozer and Okur in their face than our bigs do with one guy there?
