is the score 22-2 in the 3rd quarter? edit: 17-2. i think the overall run is at 22-2. the spurs just shouldn't be this good, but their D is just always perfect over the course of a game and they have so many playmakers and shooter on offense.
The Spurs don't just have three stars. They have three stars who almost always come to play in the big games. Most teams would take two such players on their team. Heck some are still looking for one. To have three of them is such a luxury.
True, though I think parker needs the other 2 freeing up driving lines to do his damage more than ginobili or duncan.
shaq and others(dudley, boone, wallace, etc) should learn how to hit free throws to stop the strategy.
I agree...you're in the NBA, you get paid to play basketball...learn how to fricking shoot free-throws.
Spurs exposing Shaq's inability to guard pick and roll once again. And he is back to missing FTs. Again, based on these two exploits, I dont understand people who pick Shaq over Hakeem as a better center.
when did steve nash become worthless? he hasn't done anything it seems this whole half. step up. for some reason, i'm getting what i want (the suns and shaq losing) and i still hate the spurs so much it's pissing me off. yeah, as much as guys should just learn to hit free throws, this should be the case. at the end of a game you have to foul the guy with the ball so i don't see why it should be so different in the beginning, obviously excepting legitimate off the ball foul that aren't hack-a-shaq in nature.
Since Bruce Bowen was put on him. Bruce might not win many DPOYs but this guy has come thru for Spurs on a number of occasions on the defensive end in the playoffs. If Shane wants to make a name for himself in the playoffs, maybe its time he step up to guard Deron.
you're tired battier diatribe aside (no he's not as good as prime bowen), they put bowen on him last year and he still put up big numbers. edit: the suns can't hit the broadside of a barn in this half. they've blown numerous little chippies, a bunch of open jumpers and several layups and even amare is going 0-2 at the line. they just can't beat the spurs. and to think, save for a lucky tim duncan 3, this is a 1-1 series. looking back on their runs, the champs always seem to make those unlikely plays. unfortunately i think we're going to be subjected to an absolutely brutal celtics/spurs final featuring 74-70 type games every game.
I never thought they could go all the way but I expected them to do a bit better than last year with Shaq. However the way we handled them in our last regular season encounter exposed their defensive weaknesses and I felt that SAS would go on to beat them. Right know I guess we can't definitively say what the outcome of the series will be,but it sure seems dangerous for the Suns.
