I'm not a restaurant snob, and don't understand why some people refuse to eat at any chain places. Living in Austin, I try to support local places as much as possible, but sometimes I do hit up the chain places. My favorite chains are: Morton's Pappadeaux PF Chang's Chuy's Freebird's Macaroni Grill Whataburger Rudy's BBQ Fuddrucker's Pei Wei
Why do you guys like Whata burger so much, it isnt even good compared to the best fast food places And Pappadeaux is only ok imo
Man, I miss Whataburger. Seattle has a bunch of local burger places that blow the lid off any fast food chain, but at 2 in the morning, Whataburger was always a great option. I'd have to add Taco Cabana to that late night list as well.
All I have to add is I'm much more likely to go back to a particular chain restaurant if the soda machine is well tuned. Nothing like a good ice cold coke as oppressive summer heat draws near.
Any Pappa's restaurant... Zio's... Pei Wei/PF Changs Freebird's... Chili's... Bennigan's Sport... Cuquita's I like the hole in the wall/local places but do like consistency of chains...I know some people that don't do the chain thing, and yes, they are snobs...
When I come back to Houston, I always go to Lupe Tortilla, which is my favorite Tex Mex chain by far.
I like Johnny Carino's, El Chico, Red Robin, Bennigan's. In general, I like chain restaurants, but the one that I just don't understand is Chili's.
There food is good but I've had terrible service everytime I've been to one, especially the one in Sugar Land. I love all the Pappa's places.
Trudy's (anything) Popeye's (2 for 1 99cent special) occasionally McDonald's (they have Iced Mocha!) Pei Wei (shrimp lo mein) Chipotle (chicken) Cheesecake Factory (banana cream) Golden Wok (dim sum)
