... we gave the best we could offer and still couldnt beat the Jazz. we need at least another all-star next year just to compete with them

The toughest part of 0-2 is 7' 6" tall and wore a beige suit.

Good thing we have one sitting on the bench. Doesn't make losing this year any easier though.

    I still believe!!! Here's why:

    • The mavpricks were able to overcome an 0-2 hole to win a 1st round series in 2005, even after losing the first 2 at home.
    • The jazz were able to overcome an 0-2 hole to win a 1st round series as recently as last year.

Sure, both of these teams were playing the Rockets, but....

    Wait a minute.....

    Forget it. We're screwed.

I'm super PO'd but I still believe...however, something has got to change...We need to make adjustments and play with a sense of urgency...Make a FT, make a Lay-up, get a GD rebound and make our shots...don't let the easy shots get away...

The toughest part is we are seeing the same old excuses: bad team, bad role players, bad bench, no talent,......while the real problem is TMAC.

Toughest part is watching the bench provide close to nothing so far.

I still believe and will until the final buzzer. They are right there and just need to get over the hump, starts on Thursday with a road W!

    Supporting Cast. Easily that.

My expectations for the likes of Landry, Hayes, and BJ were a little too high.

And Head's been terrible and I didn't even expect him to have an impact.

Not having Yao. Honestly, I'm not going to be too bummed if we get swept. Surprisingly the team made it a fun season, despite the injuries. The 22 game win streak was amazing.

Sad it is going to end like this (most likely), but honestly I really did have my doubts when Yao went out.

Landry would have to be a monster for us to excel...

    NONE OF THE ABOVE.

the fact this once-proud franchise hasn't gotten out of the first round since 1997. that's a joke. a joke that's not very funny, i might add.

officiating - I know we're not "supposed" to win, but is it too much to ask for a ref to at least be looking at the play when he calls something?

    - Tony Brothers being the outside official and calling a foul, but not knowing who the foul is on
    - Tony Brothers not even looking at Scola or AK47 when AK47 flails his arms out of bounds
    - Don't know who made this call, but Brooks standing with his hands straight in the air while Ashton Kutcher blocks his own shot under the rim

Frustrated with the supporting cast...T-Mac needs them to score...

No Yao, no Rafer. If we had them both in the starting line-up and Bobby Jackson comes off the bench and gives us what he gave tonite(at least some of it) and Luis Scola getting a double/double being a legit scoring threat alongside Yao.....

Yao opens us a whole new dimension for us, Rafer makes us that much deeper. The impact of those guys go far beyond the numbers they produce. Ultimately, this is gonna be a "what if" season for the Rockets.

we're barely losing both games to a team that's much better at almost every position, starters and bench (the exception being tmac).

we're missing our best player, our starting PG, and both of our starting wing players are playing hurt.

Everyone on the court is hustling and playing hard

the refs are calling every flop but allowing physically play when there isn't one.

we are overmatched in every possible way and we still compete but some people are always gonna say "excuses excuses". I just want to see Yao and Tracy healthy for long enough to make the media eat their words but I think even then they'll down play it. They'll say its all because of x player that the rockets aquired.

    yeah, easily that.

this utah team hardly improved from a year ago imo. if we got everyone healthy, we're a vastly improved team from last year and could've turned the table fairly easily.

a what-if season for us indeed.

Seeing Yao in street clothes. That was hard to handle. At first I got happy when I saw the Big Fella there, but then the look on his face killed me inside. :(

You know he wants to be out there. And I am damn sure this series is ours if Yao played...
