Dont count on it... you can stick a fork in these clowns. I love that sheepish look TMAC gets in his eyes everytime he know its over. He will pull up lame for sure in mormon land.

Both teams played great defense, but the Jazz are the most efficient offensive team for reason. Even though we held them to 90 points, they get great and easy shots for their 90 while we have to hope that a hurt superstar can make miraculous shots and make great plays against double and triple teams.

With Yao, this series is a different story, but the fact is, Tmac played great and with a lot of passion for 3 quarters, but he was trapped and had double and triple teams coming at him from all angles. Bobby Jackson and Aaron Brooks played well, but Deron Williams is the 3rd best point guard in the league, hard to counter the effect he has on the game. Chuck Hayes and Mutombo did an outstanding job defending and containing Boozer.

But at the end of the day, we are down 0-2, and we have to atleast win 1 game in Salt Lake City to have a chance at winning this series. It's happened to us before, so why can't we do it to them. Otis Thorpe said the same thing after the Rockets blew a 20 point 4th quarter lead to the Suns in Game 2 of the 1994 Western Conference Semifinals, and we ended up taking 2 games in Phoenix, and won that series. It can happen.

The Rockets will get Rafer back, which adds a lot of offense, and Rick Adelman is a smart coach who knows how to make adjustments. Just look at the difference between games 1 and 2. We didn't play terrible tonight, but the Jazz played better. Lets see what this team is made of, and hope that they can atleast bring one more playoff game back to Toyota Center, and we'll go from there!

The question is Rick Adelman is a very smart coach with few cards.

We scored 17 in the first and we scored 17 in the fourth. The offense is just not there. Maybe not offense cause it is good but guys not making shots. We gotta knock them down, we can't even reach 90 in playoffs.

Why the F do we insist on having McGrady get the ball at the top of the 3 point line and try to run a pick and roll. They double him everytime and he's forced to dribble around aimlessly for about 10 seconds until finally passing it to one of our sub-par guards 26 feet from the basket with 3 on the shot clock. Keep getting him the ball on the extended block posting up where he scores or makes the right pass 90 percent of the time like he did all through the first couple quarters.

Yeah I have no idea why we all of a sudden went to McGrady handling the ball every play at the top. It wasn't working and it completely tired him out.

But Brooks wasn't much better, alot of the time he would stand there dribbling above the three point line and run out most of the shot clock.

You kidding? Alston has had a stand out season! I agree with Hayes and Head, but not Shane, he's an amazing defender and can shoot 3's. What we need to do is those first two things + be tougher inside (obviously easier with Yao) and keep Landry from going somewhere else and get Dike to come back for team spirit

I thought Brooks had a decent game. Both he and Bobby need to work on not turning the ball over though. Scola needs to get the ball in the hole.

I get a giggle out of you finding so easy to come up with excuses for TMac scoring ONE POINT in the fourth quarter. I only emphasize the points because you just can't help to emphasize Yao's 6 REBOUNDS in game 7 any chance you get. The hypocrisy of it all.

I'm not quite sure about the rule, but if the ball hits the side of the backboard, isn't it out of bounds?

    THere are positives:-
No longer can we kid ourselves about our team and how great they are!
Morey can't get away with anything till he puts things right.
Coach A can't get away with such poor coaching and player rotation
We might even learn that the game of Basketball is not for midgets.
We might even learn that today's game is faster stronger and bigger and is played with agression and skill.
We might learn that Jump Shooting must not dominate a teams effort in any game.
We might even learn that Tracy McGrady doesn't have great stamina and isnt the same anymore since his back injury.
Les will be held accountable till we have a great agressive team on the court.
Fans will learn to deal with reality and not to be duped by the Media.
The Team might learn that while we play the bigman's game we need a playmaker.
Everyone from Les down can once again be business like and no player is untouchable if it is to benifit the team.
The Team might learn that the quick fix patch up player selection will not work, just like the 'Win Now Scenario' - doomed to failure. It takes two or three seasons to put a good competitive team together. :p
Hurry back Rafer we need you on the court! Of course if you don't come back then we have our excuses already etched in stone.

take it easy on our guys. yes, it's tough to swallow. but what do you expect? a team missing its starting 1 and 5 to beat a tough opponent? to be honest, i'm proud of our guys - an injured star player surrounded by rookies, d-leaguers, and 2 real old starters - to be close in the game. heck, if not for the horrible call in the end, we might have a chance to win it.

i've come to accept that mcgrady isn't what he used to be, even w/o injuries. he said he did not have legs in the 4th. i believe him. he did all he could.

and some of you pls stop exaggerating the missed layups by scola. many of those he was hammered.

the only thing i could complain is the ft's. we all saw it coming the whole season and they made no improvements...

bottom line is we played better than game 1. if we can play better in game 3, it's not totally hopeless. this home/road thing is overrated. everyone was saying how terrible of a road team utah was, look what happened. on the same token, i'm not sold on they're unbeatable in salt lake. to me that's bull crap.

I was at the game and I absolutely feel horrible for the team. They tried so hard but for every answer they had, Harpring, Boozer, Williams, Okur, Milsap, Korver, Kirilenko, and even freaking Price would answer back. I especially felt bad for McGrady who wanted to win but just couldn't fight the fatigue to do anything in the fourth. I always thought that if he ever was in the same circumstance as game 7 of last year again, where he was fatigued, if given a chance again he would fight through it.

Bottom line, we need a starting caliber point guard. I would rather have a starting point guard and no backups than a boat load of backups and no starting point guard.

McGrady blasted official Tony Brothers for the call and accused Kirilenko of exaggerating the contact.

"You can't call that," he said. "I like Tony Brothers, but that was a bad call. Very, very bad call. Three points down, crucial point in the game and Kirilenko flops. He flops and you call a foul on that? It was a bad call."

Props to T-Mac on calling out the ref. Question is, how much will he be fined for that comment?

As in "God, our FT shooting sucks big balls!" Or "God, how many layups are we going to blow tonight?"
