Ok, so he is the only tired superstar of the 1st playoffs round. That doesn't make me happy anyway.

The hate on Scola really isn't fair.

We are asking him to be our only low post scoring threat, and he is a rookie with zero playoff experience. It simply isn't fair to him. The guy is trying as hard as he possibly can.

Bottom line, even if that tying 3 pointer count, there's no guarantee that we can win the game down the stretch with the way we are shooting FT if it comes down to that. So, why don't we reflect on ourselves before blaming it on Refs?

That's why it's so hard to get over. A few free throws made and we could have won the game. So many things that we could have done to make this game. And then the call at the end. Why can't I get over it? Because if we can't win in Houston, how the hell are we going to win in Utah? It's upsetting.

Aye! The Rox went what? 4-14 in the 4th period? Add that to the 10 missed FTs and you have the reason for this loss. Utah never seemed to get flustered in this game even when the Rockets were rolling there for a while - that's the definition of a mentally tough team. Tmac showed up big time until at the end when he simply ran out of gas and I can't fault his effort in this game - he did everything he could falling just short of a triple-double. But in the 4th with the game on the line, Utah used their size advantage to devastating effect and the Rockets were simply unable to score over their bigger, stronger opponents.

And before folks start the obligatory whining about the refs, they should realize that the officiating was equally horrible for both teams. The Rockets fought as hard as they could and just came up short. It happens when you play a seasoned team like the Jazz when your team is short-handed.

If the rockets are willing to give up Battier, I believe the raptors could trade Calderon for him.

Morey has a big decision to make this summer.

The series is not over, saying that is getting old. But lol, did anyone hear Rick's comment on the flop by AK? Good stuff...

Hopefully we can pull one out in Utah.

You know......that was a very STUPID comment to make, as Yao Ming, other than playing a non-competitive game in the fund-raising Yao Ming - Steve Nash Charity Gala, did not play much in the past summer. He spent most the summer on his wedding and honeymoon.

That stress fracture of his left ankle was freakish......due to the Big Man had to log in close to 40 minutes of play minutes to shoulder the team during the early part of the season and the 22-game winning streak when our 20 Million man had to sit out due to injuires to various part of his back, waist, elbow, ankle, shoulder, you-name-it.

This is very very disappointing as we are now in a 0 ~ 2 deep hole and face the danger of a 0 ~ 4 clean-sweep but don't blame it on China/CBA or Big Yao......same as no one is blaming it on Tracy McGrady.

Would it kill Les to bury the hatchet with Calvin and bring him in as a "special consultant to free throw shooting" or something? I (and probably most everyone else on the board) had a bad feeling for the longest time that crappy FT shooting was going to cost the Rockets in the playoffs, and sure enough...

Yah I was thinking the same thing. Who's our shooting coach? Maybe we could get someone from China to be our shooting coach, since Yao's been so good on the FT side.

Did you even see last year's ECFinals to make comments like that?

Detroit was stupid/naive/arrogant enough to think that they can cover LeBron 1v1 with Prince. The result was 4 straight wins for the Cavs.

San Antonio on the other hand, aren't dumb. They swarmed LeBron at every chance. The result was 4-0 sweep by the Spurs.

Given LeBron is better than Tmac right now, he wouldn't fare much better than what we're facing right now.

Again, get off the guy's case.

    That was tough to swallow....

But when you surround your star with guys who can't make lay-ups what do you really think will happen?

I hate to say it, but Utah is a really good team, and without any interior scoring we can't beat them. Who still thinks Yao would be a liability vs. the Jazz?? :(

Still I'm proud of these guys for fighting tooth and nail. But we have too many rookies and scrubs on this team.
