ClutchFans Game Thread: Jazz @ Rockets 4/21/2008 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 2)

Relying on Hayes to make a basket is like relying on Head not to turn the ball over.

 

The Jazz do foul a lot, but tonight the Rockets are just blowing point blank layups. They're anticipating the contact and just overshooting it or shortarming it and drawing iron. They're playing scared and that's not how you win in the playoffs.

 

nah, they're just taller.

 

seriously i just feel bad for t-mac, the guy is shouldering everything and the team just keeps letting everyone down.

I still believe though

 

One important thing, Tracy has to play as great as he did in the 1st half. He has to be agressive, attack the rim and just score points. He's the only one who can carry us.

 

This game proves our GM is a piece of Jxxk, period.

I'm watching on espn gamecast.... are they doubling tmac yet?

if they start doubling him in the 2nd half I'm worried that the rest of the rox rookie scrub squad won't be able to put up much of a fight.

 

Why are we resting laundry so much? Its not like we are saving him for the championship. Lets win a playoff game plz.

 

We are just Overmatch. I hope we can pull this game out but it seems like we almost have to play a perfect game just to win a game.

You mean the GM who drafted Brooks, trading for Landry, and stole Scola from the Spurs? Yeah, he really sucks.

 

I am desperate now get Loren Woods in there, at least he has some height which the Rockets need to contest and get the damn boards. Plus of the few minutes I have seen of him will dunk the ****ing ball.

 

i just wanna point out what tmac1 pointed out earlier. tmac is leading the GAME (meaning rockets and jazz) in all 5 major categories, no ties. that's unbelievable.

 

that hasn't been the case his entire career. usually you get 1-2 role players that get a lot of props b/c they step up (horry, fisher... guys like that), we get guys that actually play worse as role players.

 

we can't avoid the contact, we gotta go righ into defender

WHY IS HAYES PLAYING SO MUCH MORE THAN LANDRY??



IS HAYES THAT MUCH MORE BETTER ON DEFENSE THAN HAYES TO GIVE UP LANDRY'S OFFENSE?????????????????????

 

He hasn't played any better than anybody else we've thrown out there. He's blown some gimmes too.

 

lineup needs to be a bunch of finishers and/or rebounders.. landry, harris, tmac, brooks or bjax unfortunately, and deke

 

we're not going to win if our front court cant score.

Scola cant make layups and hit FTs. Landry really takes a step backward after his injury. Landry gave up a layup or dunk under the basket and tried to pass to Hayes was ridiculous.
