Nooo!! Why! Oh why does the bad luck have to hit today? Steve, now that Vince is out, was the only player I was excited about!

Hopefully Steve is feeling up. I don't want to see Nash start. :(

Unbelievable. The one bright spot in a terrible season, and it too may go to waste. :(

Does anyone remember that Chronicle article about a week or two ago that reported that the Rockets team doctors thought they might have found the problem with the migraines? If so, was there ever a follow-up story on this? Was it successful? This seems to be becoming a major problem.

I'm wondering if this migraine has anything to do with his performance in the dunk contest or being left out of the photos on nba.com. He can't be a happy camper after the circus act the NBA put up and called the "dunk contest" yesterday.

I don't care how bad his headache is, Steve owes it to the fans who voted him into the game to start, and run up and down the court for a few minutes. After that, he can retire to a dark corner.

I'm in total agreement with ZRB.

A dream ASG would be if Steve played, and:

    • Scored 16+ points
    • Yanked down 5 rebounds
    • Dished out 5 assists
    • Threw down the mother of all flushes, preferably over Mutombo
    • Crossed Iverson, making him fall down, then swish the 17-footer
    • Was named MVP

But of course, it's a Rocket, and it's 2002; those two factors seem to combust when put together. :(

The possible solutions to his migraines are exercises that take time to implement and show improvement. It isn't like a pill he can take.

As for his responsibility to the fans, I think his FIRST responsibility is to the Houston fans and being healthy when the season starts up again is more important than playing in one all star game IMO.

He owes it to the fans to participate in a game that, all in all, is completely meaningless? I have to disagree....

I would love for him to play, and I'm sure he would love to play as a tribute to his fans. But, as Jeff said, his health and the games that count come first. If he can't go, he can't go....I cannot truly comprehend the pain involved in a migraine as I rarely get headaches at all. However, I do know that it's a serious thing because they have kept so many players out of big games before....Their seriousness shouldn't be played off.....

And I guess Shaq owes it to the fans to play on his hurt foot, or Vincanity owes it to play with his pulled muscle.

Give me a break...it is a meaningless exhibition game.

    Who cares anyway,,,,,
