So, what trade offer for Artest did the Rockets turn down? Stop talking out of your ass. You don't know what you're talking about.

I think it was Brooks and (Bonzi or Battier) for Artest - something like that before the trade deadline.

we are going to have to try and force the tempo to get some easy baskets or something. we cant continue to play against their set defense because we dont have an inside presence.

yeah, but "offers" fantasized about on fan blogs aren't really the same as a genuine trade deal.

That 22 points is nice. But his 7 shots still shows Battier season-long problem of not shooting the ball more on offense. If he's shooting that well, then he should shoot it more than just 7 times. And in this series, he doesn't have to expend energy on defense guarding a all-star wing player since the Jazz doesn't have one; that should mean more opportunities for Shane to assert himself on offense.

You people are hilarious, last time we played Utah, y'all were like, "Man, we didn't play Novak enough, Adelman is r****ded." Now you're like, "Why was Novak in the game so much he sucks.

    Make up RA's mind already.

Didn't go through because Rockets didn't want to give up Brooks.

The more things change the more they stay the same.

Word was last season that the Rockets lost to the Jazz because in the playoffs everyone turns up their intensity only the Rockets couldn't because JVG had them playing at max potential all season.

I saw our guys competing their butts off tonight but the talent level of the Jazz was evident when the Utah players matched the Rockets' intensity level. If everyone else turns things up a notch and the Rockets don't have that extra gear because they have already been in it for 40 games then there is a problem.

You hate to think that this game was decided by missed free throws and hustle plays, but it was...sigh.

Anyone notice that once the Rockets got behind and the Jazz took control in the 2nd quarter the game was officiated pretty well? Then after the Rockets came storming back in the 2nd half, the whistles got swallowed again? Only to have them come back out late in the game when the Jazz were up double figures??

With officiating like that, who needs an opponent?

(Yes, rebounding and shooting from the point guard spot were the major areas where the loss can be pinned.)

According to several league sources, the Kings had recent talks with Denver and Houston pertaining to the small forward. And for now, the discussions have left both teams leaning against making a move for Artest. The formula is the same in both scenarios, with the Kings looking for a combination of expiring contracts, draft picks and - insert snag here - young talent.

And while it's been well chronicled that the Nuggets are reluctant to give up third-year small forward Linas Kleiza, it appears the Rockets don't want to hand over their young talent either. Rookie point guard Aaron Brooks is a player the Kings wanted to draft and would love to trade for, but Houston is - for the moment - unwilling to include him on any deal. There was a call made to the Rockets weeks ago, and they only seem to have returned it in the last week.
