hope you rafer haters are happy.........as we see we are not better with brooks and bjax running point.......you have bjax who was double dribbling, couldnt even pick up a lead pass and lay it in without fumbling it out, shooting bricks, then you got aaron brooks trying to change hands in mid air for a lay up.......geez

Hopefully AB will get some good experience playing against Deron Williams that will help him in the future. But he obviously isn't ready to do much as a rookie.

Bullcrap. Brooks gave Deron the most trouble on both ends of the court. I'd rather have Brooks on him than Rafer or BJax. We know Rafer can't stop him and we should know after tonight that BJax is only good for about 15 minutes and that's it. Brooks will defend for 94 feet and will break down Deron on the offensive end forcing help. We should have went ahead and developed this kid more during the regular season.

Yes he was quite the first few minutes (1st NBA playoff) but them got much, much better.

What a coincidence that he played better when he was along the starters.

i will give brooks one thing, his speed definitely COULD have been a factor. against utah, you MUST have some athletes if you really want to expose their defense. brooks seemed to be only guy tonight who could consistently get to the basket, even though he could not finish.

he could be a factor, but he wont because hes a rookie.

were going to lose anyway **** it

Right now Rafer is still the best option. BJax definitely stunk it up today guarding Williams. That's where Rafer's defense will help. And while Brooks did have a decent game despite poor numbers, he still needs to learn to run the offense better. There was one play when Brooks was trying to start the play by passing to Tmac, but then it resulted in an unforced turnover. Believe it or not, Rafer is the best offensive facilitator we have on this team and he must play well for us to win the series.

Rafer is only the best option if he hits shots at at least a 40% clip. If he ain't hitting shots, he's just useless and just puts pressure on the other parts of our offense to outperform.

I think AB should have come in earlier...

That said, perhaps ALL of the rookies were just experiencing a little "first playoff game jitters?"

For that matter, the Jazz have played pretty much with this exact lineup in the playoffs before, while Houston has not.

I'd love to see more AB if B-Jax is that rusty or has no shot, but I think our best chance is a healthy *gulp* Rafer. ;)

    Newsflash

Brooks in not the answer. He's fast but he's out of control. Typical Rookie. He's nervous out there and he can't buy a bucket even if he had nobody around him and a clear path to the hole. T-Mac was really pissed off when he threw a pass behind T-Mac for an halfcourt violation.

Brooks needs more seasoning and the playoffs is not a time to learn.

Sir Brick-A-Lot needs to sit down for the rest of the series.

    poprocks,

history lesson. rookies can make a difference:

(June 12, 1994) At the end of Game 3 of the 1994 NBA Finals, the New York Knicks decided that Hakeem Olajuwon wasn't going to beat them. They didn't count on a rookie doing it. After trailing for most of the game, the Knicks took an 88-86 lead with 50 seconds remaining. Then Rockets first-year player Sam Cassell hit the biggest shot of his career when he received a pass from Olajuwon and nailed a three-pointer to give Houston an 89-88 lead with 32.6 seconds to go. Cassell then hit four straight free throws to give the Rockets a 93-89 win and a 2-1 lead in the series.

Not this rookie. He has a history in regular season games of bricking his shots. I haven't seen on reason to continue to play the guy.

just game one man. i'll get nervous when we're down 0-2 going to the Delta Center.

    That's when :

    1. the next Maxwell of the Rockets will appear and lead us to Clutch Cityness
    or
    2. we get our butts kicked

Aside from Brooks. I have another beef. If T-Mac can score 13 pts in 31 seconds then why in the **** would Adleman clear his bench with 2 minutes to go. What kind of coaching is that????
