This is my favorite non-Rocket playoff series. Why? Because I don't like either of these two teams and one of them is guaranteed to be kicked out of first round. Here's to hoping they beat the crap out of each other, literally.
This is the most intriguing series to me, because I think both teams are the potential 'dark horse' team in the West that could catch a few teams by surprise. There are a lot of uncertainties surrounding the Hornets (are they a contender or a pretender?) while at the same time Dallas has managed to remain under the radar for the whole season, but have REALLY picked up their game as of late. I picked Dallas to 'upset' the Hornets and surprise someone in the second round. This should be a good, physical and emotional series. This and the Suns/Spurs series should prove to be the most compelling, hopefully we don't have any other 'mitigating circumstances' (e.g. the suspensions in the Spurs/Suns series last year) and we get to enjoy NBA playoff basketball at its finest. May the best team win...
Peja already in late playoff form with a pair of ugly airballs. Usually he waits until the Conference Semis or Finals before stinking up the joint.
Yeah I completely forgot about it. Hornets have one of the biggest all time playoff chokers in Peja. That by itself decreases their chance to win this series by about 50%. But then Mavs have this guy to counter, so I guess it gets the X-factor thing back to even. vs. Edit: They just showed Juwan going "WOOOOW!" while watching playoffs on TV. Yeah Juwan, its actually possible to make plays and baskets in the playoffs.
I hope that Dallas isn't able to use essentially being on the opposite end of what happened to them last year to shake off whatever mental blocks they had.
I dont like the Mavs at all but I really like Jason Kidd. Morris Peterson will kill the Hornets all by himself. Dallas will give him the Ryan Bowen treatment when Hornets have the ball.
Dirk out of control and refs reward him. That should have been a travel on Paul. He moved his feet. No one else watching the game?
Juwan with the nice brick, as expected. Bonzi is in playoff mode, folks. Even commentators said that Bonzi's game is tailor made for playoffs.
Yeah, what was management thinking, trading away the only low post player on the team? Oh wait, they had that Yao guy.
I am not saying it was a bad decision by the Rockets to trade him. I am just saying his game is very useful to the teams in playoffs.
