One reason, Windows XP Home cannot be an RDC server so you can't log into it using RDC from a remote client.

If anyone can find a "borrowed" copy, let me know.

Why not just download it? The only advantage that a paid license gives you is unrestricted access in batch mode, otherwise the versions (unlicensed vs. licensed) supposedly operate the same.

Not really everything, but a decent sample of some of my absolute favorites
(in addition to everything in my sig)
Teracopy -- makes Windows copy not suck so much
Irfanview -- a general purpose image viewer that just flat out rocks. It's not a photo organization program, or a powerful image editor -- it mostly just displays images, and it does it better than any other program I've found.
UTorrent -- my favorite torrent program
Launchy -- THE best program of its kind -- allows you to start programs by typing their name
Notepad++ -- My favorite free text editor by far. I used to be big on SciTE, but Notepad++ is far superior.
    IMGBurn -- Fantastic burning program
Foxit Reader -- PDF Reader for Windows. Like, a million times better than Adobe's in almost every way -- starts fast, doesn't eat resources, works great.
7-Zip -- Great compression program that handles most formats
PDF Creator -- Open Source PDF Distiller
VLC - Pretty decent media player that doesn't require codecs. I usually do K-Lite, but VLC works for most everything.
Filezilla -- Great FTP program. Unless something has changed, the newest version (found here) doesn't allow proxies. I use the old version (version 2) and it works great for me.
Folding at Home -- Put your computer's spare processing to good use.
