Question for you: who is the best rebounding team in the NBA since the Allstar Break?

Are you this dudes intern or something?

I'm not disagreeing with you but...

Other than painstakingly going over every box score...where does one find sortable stats for specific periods of time?

The closest thing I found was the sortable last 10 games on nba.com. The Rockets get more rebounds in total...which could be a function of missed shots. But the Jazz have a substantial margin (7.3 to 2.8) in rebounding vs the opponent. Or, perhaps you felt the need to vent? Help us out here.

Charley Rosen is an idiot. This is the same guy that said Shane Battier's "face-guarding" on Kobe Bryant was illegal. He pretends to know more than he does and seems to write most of his articles off the cuff. He, like most reporting on anything affiliated with Fox, is a fake. His analysis is often short-sighted and incomplete and he is in love with Phil Jackson. There, I said it. In LOVE with PJ. They go back or something, I don't know. Even when Gasol was out, the Lakers were the be all and end all. I read him for the same reason I read Simmons. Entertainment, not insight.

We haven't been blown out in their home last time we went. In fact, we managed to cut down a big lead.

Playoff intensity is different. You guys have no idea how MUCH the rockets want this one. T-mac wants it the most perhaps and we know he is a big time playoff player.

The problem is, why do we have so many fair-weathered faithless fans here? After the things that happened this year, nobody here believes?

I am so disappointed in many of you.

doesn't matter what we have done against other teams, the question is what are we going to do against Utah ??

its obvious we are over matched in this series.

Yay, this guy has posted 4 "we have no chance" comments so far in 4 threads. I know Ill find more, apocclass, you're getting Pathetic. You're one of the worse Rocket fans, and a reason other fans can laugh at us.

My point its very Charlie Rosenish for you to say we're going to get beat we're small, that means we're going to get out rebounded.

    That's being lazy. And Fairweather.

We have no idea how much the Rockets want this one? And you do because...? You spoke with McGrady this afternoon? Or did AK47 ring ring you up and in a moment of weakness admit to you he really didn't "want" this one?

Give me a freakin' break. I might be a Rocket's fan but I'm not oblivious to reality.

Yeah and while we're at it, we need to credit Bill Fitch's stellar coaching. Charlie Thomas is lucky to own the team with such a pro running his team. I'm excited about this series because I think our rookies Rodney McCray and Akeem Olajuwon can really make a difference against Thurl Bailey, Adrian Dantley and the Jazz. Frank Layden is a hell of a coach, but I say we win in 7 games.

So you're telling me the rockets don't want this one?

Give me a freakin' break. I might be a Rocket's fan but I'm not stupid enough to not know that Jazz are looking pass us already. And yes, I saw McGrady's interview that was posted in here in this Forum. And I could tell the rockets want this one.

By the way, how many fans were "oblivious" to reality when the rockets went on a 22 game win streak and a 10 game win streak without Yao. Not to mention reaching the playoffs when nearly all rockets fans (even you perhaps?) thougth we had absolutely no chance, especially since Yao went out.

Oblivious to reality? No man, I believe and have faith thats all.

Faith = reality. What are you trying to say? That it was reality for the rockets to reach playoffs and go on a 22 game win streak but not reality for us to beat Jazz.

At least say something that makes sense if you're going to counter-argue.

this is trash. seriously if you were actually reading for a modicum of insight about the playoffs from an "expert" rather than the noobest **** you could read on any messageboard you'd be disappointed.

It's like all this asspacker did was go through and pick all the favorites and google a description of individual players. The entire thing is hyperbole and lowest-common demoninator. Like the noobest noob when rosen writes OF COURSE, if it's the Suns it's about SHAQ, if it's the Mavs it's about JASON KIDD. Nevermind that both Shaq and Amare could drop 55 and the Suns lose... and it's really about how Nash distributes and how much D the Suns decide to play. Nevermind that the mavs will go only as far as Dirk takes them. Be a ****in homer and talk about Shaq and Kobe all day.

"Chris Paul is explosive enough to single-handedly control a ball game. If his long-range shots are falling, then he can be on the verge of unstoppable" WOW. jock-ride much? Sounds like something ripped from a NO hornets messageboard by a 14 year old kid. A good article has THIS MUCH hyperbole, Christ Paul is the 2nd coming y'all.

The most honest thing Rosen wrote is this: "Nobody's quite sure how the Yao-less Rockets have gotten this far." Well not the "nobody" part, cuz to anyone who actually watches basketball Houston's success is manifest: defense, distribution, guys hitting their shots and team ball. But you can take to church on sunday that to Rosen it is unfathomable. When basketball to you is all about kobe scoring 80 and shaq dunking it and phil jackson is a genius, it is unfathomable... And when you have that kind of proud ignorance on your side little things like FACTs aka Bonzi in a houston uniform.. well they're side issues

What am I trying to say? Are you really that dense?

Streak 22 was riddled with things like weak EC teams, the Cavs (twice) w/o Gooden, Varejao, and Pavlovic, Dirk suspended, David West injured...and on...and on...and on.

If you drank that Kool Aid, you are really in for one serious disappointment.

Both teams want to win in Round 1. As hard as this may be for you to swallow...sometimes it just comes down to talent over effort.

Indeed, so name me another NBA team that has won over 22 game win streak besides the 70s LA. Hmmm, I can't, can you? Every team plays the same schechule and we all play the same amount of games. How come no other team went on a 22 game win streak during the 30 year span since the 70s La won 33 in a row?. There is bound to be at least 20 teams that have similar timetable as us.

O btw, didn't we beat the bulls with gooden and hughes? Ye I thought so too. O btw the way, if you watch NBA you should know trap games exist. Did you know how the Suns streak ended last season? Ye against the timberwolves.

Your counter-arguements are disgraceful. Saying the teams we played were weak is the last arguement even the experts would say to use.

    Weak dude.............

Win streak or not, everyone in the NBA plays the same teams. And yet we ended up with a better record than the Jazz.

You're buying into the cynicism. I think you forgot that, during the streak and afterwards, when the Rockets were dialed in and playing committed, they are a VERY good team. They played some the best basketball that ive seen any Rockets team play. If they play like that, they can beat the Jazz four times.
