Practice rebounding, practice free throws. And if it's not too late, play more of Adelman's offense. Mac is so money when he curls around a screen and catches and shoots a midrange jumper. He should do that more.

Figure out what Utah is doing to put themselves in position for offensive rebounds. They've definitely got a strategy for crashing the boards; we need to crack that egg.

Oh, and T-Mac should probably figure out how to shoot again.

I'll say the key for Rockets' playoff success is to make more plays for Scolar. Scolar is a rookie by technicality. He is a tested veteran who can lead in high profile games and win. Llet T-Mac be a pure distributor, shoot only when he is open or driving, . With Scolar as our No. 1 offensive choice, it will throw Jazz off.

SCOLAR FOR PLAYOFF MVP AND ROCKET FOR CHAMPIONSHIP!

It's ok, Bonzi and Francis aren't on our roster for these playoffs.

talk to the refs about over the back calls. go back to the fundamental on boxing out. have one player on the left block, one on the right block, and one just in front of the basket. another player should look at the strong side in which the jazz players overload on the offensive rebound. (for example, if there are 3 players on the right side, and only 2 on the left, that player goes to the right and tries to steal a rebound) the last player goes to the other court, cause jazz are also bad at transition D, due to crashing the boards.

make some rotations according on when krover and harping plays. krover will kill luther head. harping will kill battier. when both krover and harping are playing, put battier on krover, and put tmac on harping. tmac now, can sag off, (like he usually does) for the help defense, cause harping can't shoot. battier, imo, is one of the best defenders guarding shooters that goes around screens, therefor he'll be a big part of the defense, cause krover is their only pure shooter.

when boozer and ocur plays, you have to play smart. they both can shoot, and one is also a good post up player. i rather have scola guard on okur, cause mutombo is very hesitant on getting out to the line. but... scola, when he started at center, in replace of yao, (the game before the 22 winning streak) he got killed by okur, so he has to learn how to play big, or double team must come off of ak47. note - ak47, may have improved his shooting, but he is a streaky shooter, so if he is on, we might have to make okur go one on one, or make mutombo go guard okur at the 3 point line. boozer, you can not put him in the comfort zone, which is down low, or in the free throw line at top. utah loves the pick and roll at the wings or top. force boozer at the baseline. i'm not 100% sure on this, but this season, pick and rolls were rarely seen on the baseline, and boozer is rarely on the baseline, even though he was 2 seasons ago. once boozer is on the baseline, you gotta protect the paint. brewer, milsap, harping, any one of those strong players, will go to the basket as soon as he has the ball. this is a lot harder than it reads, but we just got to. we could possilbe, go to a zone and then switch out to man to man. but i doubt that'll work. communication is key. if you are beat, you gotta tell the other players to help. make them shoot. only shooter they have is krover, so anybody not guarding krover can go and try to help. also, when you foul... FOUL HARD. not because we hate utah, (could be a good reason for some people) but because milsap, boozer, brewer, harping, will finish STRONG. no and 1 against them, especially in the playoffs.

deron williams is a great player. he loves to shoot off of pick and roll. he also posts up smaller weaker players, potentailly... brooks and alston. but, i would not double team him. he is a player with great court senses, he will find the open man. double team when your player is in the other side where deron is, and the player is in no position to cut, and is a horrible shooter. if your player that you are defending is matches the 3 rules, then go ahead and double team. again, communication is the key. too many times, have i seen scola being late to close out a pg shooting over the pick. too many times, have i seen the roller not meeting any help defense and getting an easy dunk/layup. communication.

I'm going to come right out and say it, the Dallas series was by far the most depressing.

    Novak on AK?

AK is not a scrub... He was one of the main reason why the Jazz resurrected after game 2 last year.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five-by-five_(basketball)

Only HAKEEM has more 5 by 5 than AK since the 1986-87 season.

#1) T-Mac needs to practice his shooting.
#2) T-Mac needs to go to the rim and to decrease his long jump shots including 3s.
#3) All players need to avoid any injuries in practice. T-Mac and Shane should rest well to have full recovery from their injuries.

In addition, we need to take care of our glass. Each time Utah got more offensive boards, they had a better chance to win. We need to get more offensive boards than them.

    1. Develop a deep and abiding hatred of the Jazz.
    2. Watch Braveheart every day before a playoff game.
    3. Determine to be viciously aggressive
    4. Develop a deep and abiding hatred of the Jazz.
    5. Watch UFC matches.
    6. Read Old Testament stories of taking the promise land.
    7. And, finally, develop a deep and abiding hatred of the Jazz.

    Sounds right.

    Something else to add.

The Rockets also need to establish some identity early in the game. No more of these sissy fouls, if you're going to foul, you foul HARD, Rockets. You're giving up a foul or two, but who cares.

Let's show them we are not going to be pushed around.
