Hey, all you had to say was you agree with most of his policy positions. The whole change message is just fluff, it has no bearing on how he will get things done as the president.

Except that it has already started a change, and I like seeing it. I am hopeful for more of it. So that is part of it that I like as well. nobody had any idea if it would work or make any real changes, but contrary to some people's initial opinions it's already started working. He's showing success in accomplishing what he states his is principle advantage over his opponents.

just his approach. there's a deep and clear intelligence - and a certain pragmatism about solving problems - he's going to surround himself with the best people and it's clear he's not going to give in to cronyism the way others (Bush, Clinton, etc) will do. He earnestly wants to effect change and I think he has demonstrated that he knows how to do it. His record in Chicago demonstrates this. he understands that change is a grassroots effort and one that requires logical thinking that transcends partisianship.

he's willing to engage in dialogue to solve any problem. and his thinking is inventive and creative. Finally he has the leadership and management skills to do it, and clearly can motivate people and rally people around a cause.

I'm not a democrat or republican, i just think Obama is the right guy for this country at the right time. But we'll see.

I don't think the issue is "Is Obama ready to be president of America". It's, "Is America ready to have a man like Obama president?"

I really hope people do take a serious look at him and look past racial bias and the petty attacks his opponents are using.

    no proof?

I'd say getting over a million Americans (something that's never been done before) to donate to a presidential campaining online is proof enough.

I'd say out raising McCain and Clinton combined last month is some pretty good proof.

I'd say winning more delegates, states, and popular vote is proof enough.

I've never seen anything more UN-Presidential in my entire life. What a joke. Do you think Abraham Lincoln would have done a ridiculous move like that? Come on, that's just ridiculous. It's no wonder the mindless Hollywood gossip fans love this guy's marketing campaign so much...

LOL - so you want to hear policy details like "I WILL APPOINT A COMMITTEE THIS COMMITTEE WILL MEET AT LEAST TWICE A WEEK FOR NOT LESS THAN AN HOUR THERE WILL BE DONUTS SERVED AND THEY WILL BE GLAZED!" or even better "TERRORISTS BAD USA GOOD! TAXES BAD!" which is the Republican mesage - damned if that one ain't specifc and meaningful

ive read this entire thread and there have been comments on both sides that i have not liked. but yours is the last one i read.

anyhow im curious if you think thats "UN-Presidential" because of the "blackness" of it? are you more comfortable with the more "redneck" bush type jokes?

its seems kind of like the same thing. just two people from waaaay different backgrounds. around different types of people.

What makes you think I don't know Obama's plan. In fact I know more about what he wants to do than some the Obama supporters I talk to .

Who is this "Deval" that keeps being brought up? I knew a Deval that was a bartender at a bar in the Village years ago, but I doubt it's the same guy. Is it the Devil? Bad spelling? Heck, if you're going to talk about the Devil, at least spell the dude correctly.

I didn't see the debate and forgot to DVR it, being busy watching the Rocks (GO ROCKETS!!!!), but some clips on various cable news outlets made Senator Obama and ABC look pretty bad. Did Barack have a tough time? I thought he was getting better at the debate thing. Heck, they've had 2 or 3 hundred debates now, haven't they? Both the candidates are lawyers, so they should have this debate thing down pretty good, right?

    Impeach Bush.

Deck...from the bits I've seen, it was a stupid "debate" -- trolling for sound bites really. The promo posted above is awesome.

Barak may have had a bad game. Happens to all of us. We're just filling the void here until the next round.
