Yea, Fatty always had this theory that instead of showing sympathy for someone grieving, that it was better to joke about it. Anyway, it looks like not only did he get the boot but so did Mr. MEOWGI and Rocketman95 And before anyone asks me why - I'll say that I don't know the answer to those either (although I think MEOWGI's ban was for the same reason as Fatty's). I just know that when you read any of those 3's old posts, their sigs are missing and these were posters that always had a sig. So, that was my tip-off that something had happened to them.
Whoa... "" is right... I've been banned once for like a day, and that was because I started a thread about Joe Crawford's reinstatement, even though Hoopsworld was the only "source" I could find (it later came true). Even though I made it clear in the thread that i knew they had no credibility, I thought it was worth bringing up at least as a rumor... but apparently mentioning anything from there is a big, big no-no these days. Fortunately it was just a one-day slap on the hand for me...
Well I did a quick check on his profile (RM95's) - his last post was on the 13th of April (which has been close to 5 days which considering how much he posts probably seems like several months to him, lol); however, his last activity was yesterday around 11:30 A.M. So, maybe he is not fully banned - he can still read the board but just not post?
RM95 seemed a bit unstable lately. I know he had a relative pass, but this time off might let him get things back together. Fatty's time was coming. The whole "I'm cool cause I am a jerk" routine is kind of high schoolish IMO. Hopefully his new squeeze keeps him busy so he won't miss this place.
You have to wonder about the mentality of someone who manages to get banned from an internet message board. Especially someone who does it more than once. Seriously, I post a LOT on this board (obviously....) but I can't even imagine getting to the point of doing something to get banned.
That's a shame. 'Cause I actually enjoyed reading posts from these three. I mean what's the big deal with expressing sympathy or making a joke out of it. It is the internet.
I take it that you have never had anyone close to you die. And just because this is an internet message board doesn't give someone the right to act like a jackass and crap all over someone else's tribute to a friend or family member. I mean this is a great site - let's don't turn it into the second coming of the ESPN boards, you know what I mean, Maazi-EZ?
I thought it had to do with that and the topic might have been about cleaning or something weird like that - unfortunately, that post of RM95's appears to have been deleted.
