Jazz are hard to beat at their home court due to their bs refs, but they are exposed for what they are on the road. The best way for rockets to win this series is to take care of business at home, and they would win the series in 7. I don't see the rockets winning in less than 7 without yao, unless TMac goes crazy or something...
Hmmm, is this 2007 or 8? I think the Rockets last year relied too much on their alleged HCA, and they basically gave up on several games in Utah. Here is to hoping they try to win each and every game.....no matter where they are playing. That is what champions do. DD
Oh sure, obviously I didn't mean to not win games on the road The rockets should try to win every single game. That's the right mentality regardless of where you are. I'm as big as a rockets fan as anyone else here, but I cannot see the rockets as the champions this year without Yao. Getting by the jazz in the first round is a good foundation for next year. I'm more hopeful of rocket's championship aspiration for the next few years and I'm setting a realistic goal of building some confidence for the future.
Actually, going up 2-0 scares me now. We were up 2 games against the Mavs and Jazz and we still lost. Perhaps we need a "Clutch City Moment" like going down 0-3 and then winning 4 straight.
I agree we need to take care of home... no doubt (and no duh!!), but we need a win in UTA too... I'm kind of hoping for a to be honest..
We're going to win at least one there. This Rockets team matches up well with Boozer considering what we have in the way of PF's. Bobby and Aaron will give Deron as much as he gives too at point..Jackson defensively and running the team with the streaky 3's.Brooks making Williams react to him plus he plays D too..... Aaron is really going to help us kick some booty in the playoffs.Lots of penetration and bombs. Their strengths will be neutralized. Plus the Jazz are a rhythm team who can get chippy but lack athleticism. Our defense will lock them down. You guys and girls know that the better the team the more important Battier becomes. It will show with this years version. Tracy needs to play within the offense but if the opportunity arises drive to the hoop hard. I could go on but we just match up well with them. Just don't let Korver get off!!!!
All I know is that in top of protecting homecourt I want to see an additional 2 road wins, in every series.
Uh... the NBA sets the refs... not the home team. Can we for once just play the game? Last year we went up 2-0 and the forums I went to got flooded with Jazz fans saying there is no chance we would've won either game if it weren't for the terrible officiating. Then we lost the next two and all the Rockets fans were jumping on the refs, saying officiating was BS. And it swapped back and forth, each game the losing team complaining about the refs. Usually the best team comes out on top. I'm hoping more than ever before that it turns out to be us... but can we PLEASE not blame the refs again if it's not us? The only time that I can seriously remember it being the refs fault was that atrocious, hideous, BULLSH!T game 5 against the Mavs. Other than that, our fans just look for excuses every single game. My fellow Cowboys fans are the same exact way.
0-3??? What are you nuts? I would probably have a heart attack. Homeboy is right, too much suffering. I'll take my chances again with 2-0.
0-3 the server would melt and I wouldn't even want to imagine what the garm would look like. I'm with you man, I'll take my chance with 2-0 again. First lets hope they get game one!
