    My only problem with what Okur did was that is was Obierto instead of Ginobili.

    My problem is it didn't spark a retaliation by Bruce Bowen to elbow Boozer at some point in the game and start a bench clearing brawl which would result in 10+ game suspensions.

    Okur clothesline is the equivalent to a punhc, that should be 10-15 games :mad: :mad:

    But there is a difference - smacking a guy in the head when he's secured a loose ball doesn't present a fraction of the danger of smacking a player that is airborn. Dirk got AK47 around the neck as he was going up and that whipped him onto the court, hurting him. Okur popped Obierto with the heel of his hand, and Obierto performed a classic soccer dive in reaction.

    The NBA, rightly, will suspend players if their actions were either intentional to cause harm or thoughtlessly reckless enough to get someone injured. This doesn't fall into either category. It's no worse than an elbow.

    Cant blame him. Even a 90 year old coach Hubie Brown would jump in. Juwan is as soft as they come other than some cheap shots he gets in.

    Sloan said this about a possible suspension:

    "The league takes care of those things. That's what the officials do. That's their job. I always respect what they're about. You hate to see those things happen. I think it's kind of unnecessary, but it happened. You pay the price of whatever they decide. You have to go from there."

    i think it was intentional but there was ssome flopping involved. i don't think it warrants suspension, perhaps just a fine.

    You can make the argument that Nowitzski was coming down off balance and pulled down AK47 to avoid falling down, but this one there is no argument that Okur went right into the face when the ball is no where close to that area.
