The Clippers might or might not decide to sign Shaun. We have all seen his potential, and playing Shaun,Tracy, and Battier would give opposing guards fits on offense....... Provided he could stay healthy, he might solve our PG woes...... Tallest lineup of all-time??????? What do you think?
No way! This kid crapped me out. I think Livingston should retire. I really think Livingston has some unfound structural defects in his body. Nobody breaks a knee like that - twice(?).
99% of NBA players don't live up to their potential, don't get too hopeful on an injury prone schmuck.
He would be nice running alongside Landry. But assuming Yao is healthy next year Livingston isn't the kind of PG we need. We have to have someone at that position that can nail the open 3 on a consistent basis. At this point I would rather just bring along Brooks and see what Francis has to offer. You know Francis is hungry.
Personally, I think Francis will not recover by the beginning of the season. I see no reason why the rockets should not offer a partially guaranteed contract to Livingston. He is a completely different player from Brooks and the two could work well together, if Livingston recovers well.
we'd have the best 'imagine if they were healthy' lineup with yao, tmac, and livingston, and many more years of 'we'll be better next year when we're healthy'
Can't imagine Clippers letting him walk. Still too much potential. It will be interesting to see what the Clips do with him.
The only way I see it happen is that Clippers think he is done physically and prepared to draft a young guard.
Finally. A little common sense goes a long way. He's still on his rookie contract which is only a few mil above an MLE. If he can still play, they lock him down. If he's damaged goods, they move him. If it's the latter, who cares?
I'd be too scared watching the Rockets game live if he's on the roster. I'm predicting him become another Grant Hill. or Penny.
LOL. I wouldn't mind getting him for a fairly low price though. He has showed he has skills and can average like 15, 7, 6.
Livingston is owed 5.8 million dollars next year. Right now they are saying he will be back ready to play by pre-season, but there could be delays postponing when he can play. Add to that, no one know how well he will be able to play once back, how long it will take him to get back to the level the Clippers want a PG at, and whether he can last 20+ minutes a game for an entire season. Because of all this, it is reasonable to assume the Clippers may want to keep that 5.8 million since they are getting another high draft pick, and both Brand and Magette are FA this off-season.
