Do we consider getting out of the 1st round this year a moral championship?

See, I think the backdoor passes are about half a second too late. You can not wait until the guy is open you have to recognize when it is happening and where he will be when he breaks open.

That gives the receiver time to work with the ball and either finish or rotate it out to another open player.

Right now they are bullet passes, which are at the last possible time to make a play.....

The team is still not there yet.....and actually the best back door passer I have seen this year from the high post has been Landy...he has hit Luther in stride and on time more than once......he passes as Luther is making his move and still covered....THAT is the time to pass it.

What happened to all those T-Mac to Landry passes? I thought they had some weird ESP there for awhile??

For some odd reason, Adelman has stopped playing Landry and Scola together, which makes one of them open on the PnR and rotation...

Because teams don't cover Hayes or Deke, why would you?

I wish Adelman would go back and watch his rotations in the winning streak, particularly the first 4 or 5 games after Yao went out....those were the most effective...IMHO.

    Less Hayes....More Scola and Landry.....

    Two? Too optimistic.

    How about:

    1) Better, quicker ball movement (and no lazy/bad passes)
    2) Better player movement (If any player has the ball more than 3 seconds and isn't shooting, passing or going to the basket, then the offense isn't running the way it did during the 22-game win streak. Cutters wanted.)
    3) Control the boards (Ideally, both. But if not, at least defensive. Give the opponent only one shot.)
    4) Make layups
    5) If you drive to the basket, create contact. Don't settle for floaters.
    6) Make free throws
    7) Keep turnovers to 8 or less per game

    ;)

Either he's sacrificing offense for defense (which I think makes sense since neither Luis or Carl play the PNR well) or he's saving Landry for the playoffs. Landry's knees must not be well enough to depend on for a long, extended run, so Coach might be saving him for money time.

I think we'll see a lot of Carluis on the floor at the same time come this weekend.

    1. Shoot the ball.

    2. Don't let the opponent shoot the ball.

So we've agreed in principle, and now we're just haggling over price. ;)

    Lol good one.......

    1. Shots must fall........We need "on nights"
    2. We need rafer to do good to win......When he is on fire we kill teams....
    3. Scola needs to jumo and put the ball in Over handed......Not a underhanded layup fingerroll
4.Tracy Needs to drive on People like Kyle Korver......Korver will have to foul him and sed him to the free throw line
    5. HIT FREE THROWS

    1. Team (generally T-Mac) MUST MAKE FREE THROWS.

I mean what kind of superstar (at his size and position) has less than 70% FT?

    2. Team must drive.

The Rockets are a jump-shooting team. Even Landry and Scola likes to shoot jumpshots mid-range.

They must drive. I mean when they're on fire shooting then that's not a problem. but if we go cold its painful to watch.

    must be miracles...

Face the facts, I personally don't like our chanches and I think we're going to lose in six games.

    Reasons:

1.If we don't get the home court advantage we're pretty much eliminated from the playoffs.

2.Injuries, they're like killing us since TMac joined the Rockets, one year he's injured another two Yao's out. Oh well... include some "small" injuries also.

    3. Lack of shooting confidence, if Rockets don't shoot the ball they're going to blow it up. What I'm trying to say that our FG's is terrible and I'm talking about very cold performances that are occasional.Plus the terrible ft's, we must be the worse ft team in the playoffs.

4.Deron Williams, Carlos Boozer, Amare Stoudemire, Tim Duncan are guys that we can't stop without appropriate defense, defense is solid but really solid it can be better in every aspect and they showed it during the "streak".

    5.We're cursed...

i think we need more than two things to go right.

i'd set a game plan like this:

offense - gotta hit the open 3, gotta drive to the basket.

defense - rebound, and keep teams out of the paint.

    1. 3 Point Shooting (We live or die by the 3)
    2. Yao's Aura on the bench
    3. The Big Greek guy that comes to every Rockets home game.
    4. Hakeem's presence will most likely give the rockets a sure win.
    5. Landry first explosive dunk of the game ripples through our players
    6. Injury to opposing team's star player
    7. Tim Donaghy comes back and referees all 7 games of the Rockets.

Also these are things that i've seen that seems to get the team hyped up:

    1. Mutumbo's Blocks followed by copyrighted fingerwag
    2. Landry getting a monster dunk

    That's about it.
