we are not better than any team we will face. a team would have to choke pretty damn hard in order for us to win a series...
Good, legitimate points. That's why I'm advocating coming out of the gates in the playoffs with Brooks next to McGrady. Brooks is the best handle, the quickest player on the court, good finisher, and he can shoot it besides. Who better to break down the D after they trap McGrady? I am really hoping Adelman doesn't say a word and just starts the kid come Sunday or whenever the playoffs start. Create a buzz! Come out of the gate, clear out for Brooks, let him ring Deron up to start the game, get the crowd in it, and get the Jazz on their heels and thinking about how they are gonna shut down that quickness.
I think AB will step up big for the Rockets AB. Someone posted "Scola stops blowing easy lay ups". I know this has been discussed, but I really wish he would just dunk that. He's capable of doing it. I've seen him doing it. I'd sleep better at night.
1. Series ending injury to one of the opponent's star players. 2. Series ending injuries to two of the opponent's star players. Even with that, we probably only have a 50-50 chance of advancing.
I couldn't agree more with this. Everyone is saying we have no chance but that isn't the case. If our team plays with confidence and shoots the ball like they are capable we can win. Its just my opinion but the games we lose is because we dont shoot well we just give up instead of being agressive and taking it to the basket.
I've got my doubts about the Rox chances but dammit I'm a Rockets Fan! I defer to the greater basketball minds than me but here's my humble take. 1. Play aggressive defense to prevent the other team from stringing together big runs like the Jazz and Nuggets did to us in the last two games. 2. Aaron Brooks needs to channel Sam Cassell.
Don't think so. Right now his shots are not falling and he does not have the exact handle and shooting skills of CP3 around the basket to finish or assist when facing bigger opponents. He puzzles me, I mean he seems to be extremely confident guy but that is not reflected in his shooting, which I heard was pretty good before the season started.
guess we can talk about this more specifically and seriously after tonight we know whom we're gonna play...
are you a mcgrady hater? why are you putting all the pressure on him when he himself is not wanting it (see today's chronicle)? well, semi-kidding here. but, 1. rockets 2. team will be a little more appropiate than your original proposal, eh?
Our guys on the backdoor cuts don't drop the bullet pass from the key. That's what killed us in the last game was there were too many butterfingers down low.
You forgot 3) WE MUST HAVE HOMECOURT ADVANTAGE. No way we beat the Jazz, if they have homecourt on us, imo.
