Where's a good place to get stink candles?

I was at a friend's house the other day and I smelled some candles his girlfriend was burning... it smelled nice. I never was much for the whole candle burning crap... "I'm a single guy who likes computers... what in the hell am I doin' burning stinky candles?" is what I always said to myself. But lately I've been into eating soy products and watching chick flicks, so I figure how much worse could burning the smelly candles be?

So I up and go to my local Eckerd's and buy one of those gel candles. I light the mofo up and it stank... no I mean it stank... smelled like burning jello or something. Damn stench is all over my room. A smokey cap'n crunch with a burning ember on his crunch berries smell. Nasty.

So where can I get good smelly ones from? The gel kind 'cause that's what my friend had. They said they got it as a gift and have no clue where it came from. I mean, I can find all sorts of them online, but I can't tell how they stink.

Thanks in advance for any responses 'cause Lord knows I never get anybody to respond to anything I post.

Bath and Body works has some I think. I get a lot of candels at Hallmark. I haven't seen the gel ones, but they sell some really good smelling ones. They're both kinda girly stores, but they'll probably have what you want!

Try the Wick's End - they even have a website, so you don't have to leave your computer.

Hell yeah, spoken like a man that understands my dilemma. But my problem is I can't tell how they stink online. I have to go in there unless somebody can recommend something.

That's cool. I'll probably try there over the weekend if nothing else better is discovered., although it requires me being exposed to sunlight. :(

Good place. I knew there was an obvious one I missed.

Do you remember what it smelled like? Or do you really like the smell of something? I like the spicy candles like cinnamon or oragne spice or ginger. I also like flowery stuff like rose or sweat pea.

I could probably help you out, if you want it.

my girl actually introduced me to these smelling candles, more like forced them onto me, but they sure do beat the normal smell of a guy's place which is why i still have them. i know she usually gets these from the hallmark store and randalls also has a ton of them. you don't want to risk the online buy as you know now they're not all fresh and clean.

Best dang candle shop on the web

    http://www.illuminations.com/

There are two stores here in New York and it looks like the only stores in Texas are in Dallas. But we've ordered from the web with no problem!

Whoa, if they have a store in Dallas, that's where I am... must check them out, too.

I eat soy protein products all the time. I guess I better grow some breasts and have a sex change operation  .

Soy is not just for women....men benefit from Soy as well. The FDA says 30 grams a day lowers your bad cholesterol. Plus, if your workout, Soy is an excellent source of protein. But, we know you don't workout so....:p.

Maybe you should lay off the Soy. I think your female side is overpowering your male side in your posts nowadays. I can't tell what you are. You may not be human. :D

Hey Doc, find a Whole Foods Market and try any of their smelly candles. I've seen some $2 votives that are really fragrant. You can pretty much be sure that if you don't like the way the candle smells unlit, you won't like it when it's lit.

Ever burned incense? There are some really good incense sticks out there too!
