Seems he's got a lot to say -- EXCLUSIVE: Powell Praises Obama, Fears Afghanistan Growing 'More Difficult' Than Iraq http://www.abcnews.go.com/GMA/Vote2008/Story?id=4622268&page=1
Colin Powell has so much credibility when he talks about war. I mean who in his right mind would question what Colin Powell said?
Even though Powell admitted he was wrong afterwards, his gem of a presentation of evidence against Iraq will be his mark. http://www.cnn.com/2003/US/02/05/sprj.irq.powell.un/
i.m kinda surprised being under bush that he would give that much props to obama.if u ask me this is a good deal.
exactly -- I hope it's a joke. He had as much cred as one can possibly earn, until his loyalty led him to make that sham of a presentation for W, Rummy, and Dick. Everyone understands that. (I thought).
Powell's cred was undeserved, though he cuts a fine figure. He was a loyal lapdog for the neo-cons and a key player in Iran Contra and probably would have been indicted if Bush I had not ended the investigation by pardoning everyone. http://www.consortiumnews.com/archive/colin.html
I would love having Powell on ANY ticket, be it the Dems or the GOP. Or even just as a top advisor of one of the presidential candidates. Powell's loyalty was his downfall, but he's still a strong voice for 'sanity' that I can count on when it comes to advising on foreign policy issues.
