We all saw how Krover impacted the game on the offensive end, we need a pure shooter who other teams will respect and think twice before doubling TMAC

I agree, Novak can make EVERY shot from the outside, outstanding range.

But this guy can ONLY shot so you have to admin he will only stand and wait for the ball.

    And his D sucks

    I agree.

I thought he definitely should have had some court time tonight, especially considering his hot form recently.

If he had to match up on Korver he would have been fine. In fact, Korver is as good a match up he will find. He cant put the ball on the floor so all Novak would have to do is fight through picks and get a hand in his face.

And Korver played some great D tonight.

Still, Rick waited way too long to put him in tonigh. At the very least he should have been subbed in when we went into foul mode. You don't have to play defense in foul mode but it still took 2 or 3 possessions before he was sent in.

I don't know why, but we make Kutcher look like an actual decent defender when we play the Jazz. I actually fault Tmac for that because he settled for 3's and not punish Kutcher.

Kutcher sucks, his D sucks but we make him look good.

You are right. But did Korver played great defense - well it was pretty good. But the Jazz bring help everytime T-Mac got the ball on the post. That forced him to take J.

But we can give Novak a shot especially with us not shooting the ball well. If he is making his shot let him play, if not take him out.

Agree. But in tied game (I mean not when we are down by 20) Korver hasno chances of guarding McGrady. He can beat him one on one every time he wants.

Utah doesn't have Fisher or Gircek and McGrady is a lot more athletic (I mean he got his athleticism back this year) than he was last year.

I'm not an expert on Korver's defense, but I've read/heard that he's actually an underrated defender. He looked pretty good today. He moved his feet and he's got good size. McGrady isn't going to out-muscle his defender, so Korver held his own against him.

He should be playing atleast Mike Harris's minutes. I don't think we can afford to have Landry, Hayes and Harris in the game at the same time. There is no way to space anything on offense if that is the case.

Points he made will easily lose in defense. If he can do 70% as good as Battier in defense, I vote him to be starter.

I totally agree with this. Harris has a decent jumper but I don't see him shooting too often. :p

I didn't see the Jazz game, but I remember this one stretch in the Phoenix game when Novak was shooting really well. But in between his made shots, Boris Diaw was blowing past him for easy layups in two consecutive plays, basically nullifying the good Novak was doing on the offensive end. Adelman decides to sub McGrady back in, and when Diaw tries the same thing, Mcgrady doesn't let him get near the basket.

Novak's getting better, but he still needs to toughen up his defense before he gets consistent meaningful minutes, IMO.
