why not?? calculated risk. pop is a strategic thinker. i wouldnt consider it farfetched at all. all i have to say is, if the spurs lose tonight, all you bettors, bet your life savings on the under of the spurs/utah game weds. could be 2 teams trying to let the other team win. although, they could be shooting in eachothers baskets.
Dammit, I just noticed GS pissed away their lead against the Suns. If the Suns lose, we're assured of at least the #5 spot.
we are not going to lose to the clip joint. relax. and if we cant beat a crappy team at home in a game that's that huge for us, we arent going to make any noise in the playoffs anyway.
If you're the Spurs would you rather face Shaq and Amare (w/homecourt) or Scola and Dikember (w/o homecourt). If they're tanking on purpose I hope it ends up biting them in the ass.
so what the hell needs to happen for the spurs to play the suns in round 1? i really, really want that. besides utah probably being the only 1 of the 3 we would beat anyway, seeing either shaq and nash or duncan going home in round one would make me happy. it seems if the spurs win and the hornets lose too much, spurs could get to 2, if they lose to much they fall to 4 or 5. if the suns hold on here (thanks a lot ****ing warriors), they could move up and then it's even crazier with everyone possibly having 27 losses. and man, the warriors might be about to miss the playoffs with b diddy just sitting on the bench the whole 2nd half.
While the Playoff Spursare completely different than the regular season Spurs, the Spurs have been horrible on the road this year. Come on Sac, make a shot!!!
if we have to play in utah for a 7-game series we'll get slaughtered something fierce; i see us being much more competitive against SA, with or without HCA. if we get HCA over utah then maybe we do ok, but i think their poor road record is grossly exaggerated (they were a poor road team last year when they knocked us out). utah is just a terrible matchup for us. against SA you can double duncan and try to make parker or ginobilli beat you. brent barry likely doesn't even play for them so they've only got 2 shooters you have to worry about in ginobilli and finley. there isn't any one guy you can key on for utah; they exploit every matchup and they just so happen to be strong where we are weak (shooting big men, athletic guards). even if we get HCA against utah,
Thanks to them giving Artest, Martin, and Miller the night off. Yet all three suited up against us 2 weeks ago. That's fair.
finley loses the ball up 4 and then duncan commits the stupid ticky tack foul for the and1 and his 6th foul? and PHO is going to win.
so if the spurs win and NO and LAL win and we beat the clippers, the suns can't do better than 6th, right?
