I hate to start this thread, but I have to vent. This season has been a rollercoaster, and I have never been so proud of a team as I was during our 22 win streak. I honestly believed going into this last week of the season, irregardless of us getting the #1 seed or #6 seed, we could win at least 1 round in the playoffs. We were playing with such intensity, and heart, it felt like the early 90's all over again.

After the last 2 games, I am losing my faith in the rockets chances this post-season, and wonder if I was just blinded all along by my desire to prove the national media/doubters wrong.

Does 2 games mean that much? Probably not, but I do believe the way you enter the playoffs is usually the way you exit. I hope I am wrong, and I hope the rockets make me eat my words.

i'm proud of the team for what they've accomplished this regular season. but to be realistic, i'm not betting on us to get passed teh first round...again. we just don't have the firepower. god, i hope i'm wrong.

This season has been a lost cause ever since Yao went down. If they do go past the 1st round, considering the players we have, I can safely say there is no team these guys can't beat.

we are too worn out, not enough fire, not enough power. we just don't have it. too much injuries, too much nagging crap going on. but, we still have a chance, and even if we don't win, players like brooks, landry, will have more experience. and rick will know which players play like under pressure.

I think they can win a round if they have home court(and don't face the Spurs).

But T-Mac as your best player is not the recipe for a championship. He's not the player he once was and even then he still couldn't get it done in the postseason.

I believe we will beat the Clips and Utah will lose in San Antonio giving us HCA.

I believe the Jazz will be favored but it will be a toss up.

I believe the Jazz will win at least 1 game in Houston, forcing us to win at least 1 game in Utah. If we can't win in Utah, we won't win the series.

I beileve that we will beat the Clippers, lose in the 1st round, and hopefully trade T-MAc.

Were done. Critics like Stephen A Smith were right all along, the rockets are going nowhere in the postseason. I wish we did not even make the playoffs so we could get a higher pick in the draft

I believe in the Rockets more than ever! We got the scrapiest team in the league and next year add Yao to the mix and with Landry Brooks and Scola getting another NBA year under their belt and trading RAFER and Tmac for Deng and Hinrich not to mention the great draft pick plus the possibility of Francis coming in ready to play and I would say we are serious contenders. Yes I believe.

Of course! The playoffs hasn't started yet and everyone is giving up on the Rockets. *shakes head*

If the Suns win their last two games they will have the same record as the Rockets if the Rockets beat the Clippers. Will the Suns have the 5th spot and Rockets will be the 6th seed thus facing the Spurs instead?

No. We have the tiebreaker with the Suns. If they win out and we lose to the Clips, then they'll be #5. But if they lose OR we win any game, we're #5.

I'm still not giving up. The Charles Barkley in me says this team is just a first-round exit, but the Rockets fan in me says Screw Charles and Screw the j*zz.
