No it wasn't her, this was about 4-5 years ago maybe even longer. She had brown hair and wore glasses.
When Serena and Venus were at their absolute peaks there was talk of them trying to play in some tourneys with men. As the story goes a very low ranked pro maybe 150 in the world had a few drinks at the pro shop and played them back to back -- he destroyed them in short order. Too powerful -- it's not just the top speed of the tennis ball, but the amount of spin put on the ball. A slice backhand from a male pro will literally jump at an angle after hitting the court -- while a woman's slice will slide or skip when it hits the court. Every shot is exaggerated like this forcing the woman to play defense just to get the ball back over the net. The only hope is golf and that is not even realistic with the top golfers starting to hit the weights.
In general, sports that favor brute strength and physicality will favor men. This would include football and basketball. Low contact sports such as soccer, baseball, golf, tennis, and korfball are more of an even challenge. Sports that emphasize agility and flexibility will almost certainly favor women.
Danica Patrick had the Indy 500 in the bag a few years ago with just a few laps left -- until she had to pull over and ask for directions. ____ That hot funny car chick is pretty good Ashley Force -- since she only has to go a 1/4 mile directions usually aren't a problem.
Wie never came close to making the cut in a men's PGA event and has finished dead last a few times. The only men's cut she ever made was during a minor-league event in Korea, not going up against any PGA Tour players. Sorenstam missed it by four shots or so I think when she played.
Nope. Men are physically superior to women. The top men are better than the top women. The average men are better than the average women. Etc. There are of course some women that are physically superior to some men, but those men are not playing pro sports. A woman's best shot would be some sort of groin kicking contest.
Those are opinion related so . . . .IMO not *real* sports The scoring is basically opinions Rocket River
I think in general, the BEST women athletes would be great athletes on the male high school level. For example, the women's world record in the 800 meters, set in 1983, is 1:53. The fastest boys' high school time in the 800 meters in 2005 was 1:50. And three seconds is a TON of time in the 800. Basically, pull any of the records listed under the events here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Track_running#Outdoor_track_and_field and compare them to the records listed here: http://www.usatoday.com/sports/preps/track/2005-top-boys.htm
Bellaire HS had a girl OL player who graduated in 2007. She is a beautiful girl and was named homecoming queen. She worked hard and had the respect of all of her teammates. Another sport where men and women compete without division is equestrian events. Show jumping, dressage and 3 day eventing are all Olympic events and males and females (both riders and horses) compete heads up against each other.
