I'm sure the Jazz would rather have the HCA vs the Suns than face the Rockets on the road. The Jazz have the best home record in the NBA, but also have one of the worst road records among Western Conference playoff teams. Given the option, they'd certainly take the HCA. If they beat us tonight, they WANT to beat the Spurs to ensure they have home court.
Yes. One Rocket win or one Phoenix loss means we finish ahead of them. They can only finish ahead of us if we lose out and they win out.
Isn't this a bit myopic? Yeah, last year we had Yao, but guess what? We didn't have consistant contributors like Scola, Landry, Jackson, Brooks, and Novak. And honestly, Yao was completely exposed in that series....Boozer ate his lunch. So let's stop with this gloom-and-doom stuff right now. They play the games for a reason, so how about we just wait and see?
Landry has been sucking mostly lately..except the phoenix game, the dude kept getting blocked in denver
Negativity sucks. naysayers: "No, we're being realistic" The reality of the situation goes two ways. One way is we lose out and every other team wins out and we end up with a low standing. But, believe it or not, the #1 spot is still up for grabs. Houston gets the 1 spot if the following happens: Rockets win out, LA loses to Sacramento, NO loses in Dallas, and Spurs split one of their last two games (@Sac, home against Utah) This isn't that far fetched. Anyways, all I know is this, no matter where the Rockets end up in seeding, I will be cheering my ass off for them.
