This is really cool. Some researchers at UC-San Diego have shown for the first time the existence of a single gene that would allow for major changed in body structure.

Basically in an underwater crustacean (brine shrimp for example) there is a single gene called Ubx which, when modified, causes all but the last six legs to be removed. This gene, then, and others like it, could have been largely responsible for the shift from underwater crustacean to insect. Up til now, researchers had never actually found a single mutation that could cause such a dramatic change in body structure.

That actual paper is not quite out yet (according to the website it will be released at noon today) but the site I linked to has a pretty good description for those not familiar with molecular biology.

But there are still monkeys, so evolution is wrong.

Just one of those moods, I guess. I feel bad about this one, only because I don't want to derail a cool thread...shoulda thought about that earlier.

So are you against evolution RM95? Or were you just being sarcastic.

Doesnt somebody have that in their signature? I think its either DoD or DaDa.

I hate to speak for him but I'm pretty damn sure he was being sarcastic. I would imagine he was referring to DaDa's sig. It would be interesting to get his input on this since he is a creationist...
