Do you feel that the rockets need to find a way to give Scola at least 10 shots a game or do you think Yao must keep all the inside offense?

For his first year in the league Scola will average about .520 from the field, which i find pretty good for a PF.

Stevie Franchise will be back next year scoring, dishing, and rebounding. He'll get the ball to Scola ;)

it will be an exiciting season if they are all healthy. Too many offensive players.. it will be fun. this will be the year when you don't see tmac taking 3pt shots from the parking lot. unless of course he plays for denver.

I don't know how many shots he'll get, but man, we have a great team next year. Getting into the 2nd round would be HUGE this year as a stepping stone to next year.

We should just keep Yao inactive with an "injury" until the midway point of the year. Keep him fresh for the playoffs. Shaq definitely did it.

When yao come back they should not play him more than 30 minutes a game. That should give scola all the shots he needs.

any small injury, we should have a MRI no matter what... if we had a MRI, when yao had small pain (from dallas's diop), we would have found it way before 2008, and he'd be here for the playoffs. this should be said for tmac too.

i think your very wrong he was hurt this year last year didnt give a crap so didnt stay in shape. he finally started getting in good shape and playing well then got hurt. he will start next year. this was off topic so i think scola should get 10-15 shots agame

I like the idea of letting Yao get all he can get, and then when he goes out, let Scola get all he can get. The great thing is both guys are unselfish. I really think the better fit at PF with both Yao and Mcgrady on the floor is a healthy Landry because his finish rate is sky high. But, no question, Scola should be developed into the definitive 3rd option and the 1st or second option when one or both of 111 is on the bench. He should easily get 10-12 shots a game next year. Don't forget, in a true Adelman style offense, the shot attempts are going to wind up smoothing out over your top 5-6 guys. That doesn't mean 111 won't shoot more shots than the others, but it won't be as many more as it was under Van Gundy. McGrady, in particular, could afford to give up some shot attempts. It would make him more efficient and the Rockets more efficient. Not to mention less shots for Rafer also makes total sense as long as you have a better, more efficient option taking those shots.

I'm liking this MRI idea.....in fact, just like Tracy has that personal bball gym in his house......I think Yao should get a 3D MRI unit installed in his....and Rafer should get a parrot in a cage that keeps repeating all day "you are only a role player you are only a player!!" :D

I think everyone believes Yao's minutes should decrease so by default Scola's shot attempts should be higher than they were while Yao was healthy this season. I think the MRI idea is a good one too. We should do that and also offer the Suns' medical staff a ridiculous amount of money to come here. Whatever they do seems to work for older or injury prone players.

And Francis is done. You don't play 3 crappy, unproductive seasons and then come back at 31-32 and suddenly play great or even good again.

I don't think the Rockets will need to "try" to get Scola 10 shots a game even with Yao. I think that will come perfectly naturally for this team.

A guy with as much passion as him is going to do everything he can to get back on the floor and stay effective... I'm willing to be patient and give him one more chance. I think he can still provide something.

Who in the hell would we trade McGrady for on Denver? That is ridiculous. They don't have a single player that would make us better than McGrady does.

... Of course if you were just joking (and I can't tell even with the emoticon), then ignore this post.

I have a small glimmer of hope that last year he was completely unmotivated (and who wouldn't be with NYK as they were) and this year he was definitely hurt. He might not be the Franchise, but a diminished version would still be a great addition if he learend RA's system.

That being said, I wouldn't bet my house on it or anything, but it's possible. Plan for the worst, hope for the best in Stevie's case.

Absolutely. I wish to see T-mac and Yao to take around 15 shots per game if they both will still be rockets and Luis to have 15 shots per game. Luis has higher FG% and less TO than T-Mac and Yao. There is no reason to limit Luis' opportunities.

OR...and this is just a silly thought here...we could have Tmac take LESS shots and that way Scola could shoot more. I know Tmac's averages are down this year but he's still 3rd in the league in FGA per game. Maybe, just maybe, if Tmac took less shots then Scola can be more involved in the offense without Yao only taking 5 shots a game. Tell me if I'm outta line here. I think I make sense but it seems you think that Yao's rank of 30th in the league in shots per game makes him a ballhog.

We have a right to say the same about your guy too, ya' know?

That's why I said "IF" - no one knows if Yao won't snap it again during the Olympics and end his career.
