Guys guys guys.... Rebounding is going to key tonight.... With Battier out, that means others will have to step in try to do what he does. Battier may get 6 to 7 rebounds but look at how many he tips towards players and boxes out for other players to get the rebound. You'll see how important he is.

Last game Shaq and Amare beat the hell out of the Rockets with rebounding.

    Huh?

    Who guards Shaq?

    I think it should be

    Deke
    Scola
    Tmac
    Head
    Rafer

    DD

Agreed. And when Mike Harris is your x-factor, against a high profile playoff team fighting for playoff seeding, you are in trouble. Odds are definitely stacked against us tonight.

that's the sensible and probable starting lineup, but we dont have enough big bodies to guard both shaq and amare. i'd like to see us gs/pho the suns.

    Start Novak!!!!!

Rafer will completely dominate and obliterate Nash tonite. You heard it here first.

If we see Amare abusing Scola, expect to see a lot of Hayes. I don't know who other than Mutombo is strong enough to guard Shaq. But then you don't want Hayes and Mutombo on the floor at the same time.

The key is whether Scola can stay with Amare. Losing Battier is huge on the defensive end. True, the Suns don't have a Kobe or Durant on the wing. But his help on Amare will be sorely missed.

I like the idea of starting Novak at the 3 and letting him match up with Hill.

I don't. Novak off the bench is good enough.

There's no such thing as an automatic loss or automatic win for that matter. I don't believe Shane sitting this one out will hurt us much, because we need more offense from the front court so we can send Chuck Hayes at Amare all night. We might even break out Mike Harris.

It could be ugly, but if we can hit our jumpers at a 44-45% clip, I think we'll be fine and have a legit shot at winning.

You may be right. Though I would step out on that limb just a little farther and say if we hit our jumpers at a 45% percent clip and hold the Suns to a 43% clip, we will be fine and have a legit shot at winning.

Thanks matt. Well I'm happy that Shane will get his rest. I mean obviously it is bad that he injured the foot but he needs that rest, he's been working so hard the entire season.

    thanks Matt.

    The keys for us are:

    1. Don't get abused on the glass
    2. Play good D and hope they don't hit shots in the 1st-2nd Q like they did last game. If y'all recall, we played them pretty well in the 2nd half of the last game, but the deficit was too big and Rafer made some terrible decisions down the stretch.

I think the Rockets secretly want to remain in the 5th spot... ;)

Then they need to win tonight. If we lose and end up with the same record as suns at the end of the reg season. They will own the tie breaker and take the 5th spot.
