gus ferrorte. he reportedly signed a one-year deal specifically so he could be a free agent this year with his eye on houston.

i still have my money on trent dilfer being the guy. neither he nor carr has made secret of the fact they're friends and that dilfer would be a welcome mentor. they both have the same, houston-based agent and carr is nearing foregone conclusion status in relation to the texans' draft plans.

 

The more I read about the draft, the more I agree with what Ric just posted. I still don't agree with the Texans' decision-making process, but then again, I'm not the GM or coach. All I can do is gripe and complain on this board about not taking McKinnie. I haven't heard that the Texans were interested in Seth Payne, though. I hope they are. He's my boy from Cornell who played ball while I was there. I'd love to see him in Houston. As for Gus Frerotte, I'd much rather have Dilfer. At least Dilf is a winner... And I can't believe I just typed the words "Dilfer" and "winner" in the same sentence...

Here's hoping we have an adequate enough O-line to protect Carr...
