I checked quite a few games Argentine played against Spain in major tournaments. Scola played decent against Gasol. Gasol apparently is better, but he doesn't overpower people, so I wouldn't mind Scola matches up against him.

All along I want Rockets to meet with Lakers. With or without Bynum, the rockets still can beat the lakers. Mark my word, Bynum and Gasol cant play effectively with each other as both need the post to operate. If both stay in the paint, it will take the effectiveness of others and make kobe into a jump shooter.
The rockets matchups well with Lakers and their D sucks which is the major reason why I prefer Lakers whereas it is almost impossible to win the Salt Lake City and although Jazz is a bad road team, our superstar sucks in his own arena is the main reason I worry about the Jazz.

The other reason I want the rockets to take on Lakers is, I know, there are a lot Californians' fans in this site who are here just because of a certain player they like. I just to see which team they gonna support in the playoffs ans show their true color.

Jazz cuz if we play Lakers, we wont have the Home court advantage. Jazz are not a good away team. Kobe can go crazy in the playoffs and the Lakers have lot of guys that can guard well T-Mac (kobe, fisher). Also, Bynum might return.

I would not prefer the lakers because they got Kobe, in a series it's hard to shut him down with Gasol on the court.

Unless we played very good D and the offense flows like we did on the 22 game winning streak. It's tough to beat the lakers, it's not to say that jazz is any easier. :(

I missed Yao very much come playoff.

exactly... without bynum give me the LAKERS. the lakers D is kind of porous for a team that is supposed to be a contender.

beating the lakers would not be easy by any means, in fact we would probably still lose the series, but i think our chances would be better against them without bynum than the jazz.

Bynum or not, we match up better with the Lakers. Utah is a terrible match-up for us. I hope for the Lakers. They're not that great defensively, we'll have Shane on Kobe which hopefully somewhat contains him, and outside of Gasol, their support cast is overrated.

We will have the homecourt if the Rockets and the lakers end up in a tie.

bynum? is he the best center? w/ or w/o him, fakers will not be much different. c'mon, he didn't have a good year until this season before injury. the good is just 13pts and 10rbs. suddenly, he seems to me became an elite player through media and fakers fans hype.

on fakers, kobe, gasol, and odom are their main players. bynum is a good role player. that's it.

    Wrong.

Without him, the Lakers are different. Watch the games. Early in the season, he was a key conduit in the Triangle Offense. A good part of their half-court sets starts with getting Bynum the ball in the post and letting him operate while guys cut all over.

He has skills in the post, a good physique and hops. I don't know how this injury will slow his development, but I'd say he was on track to become a near-20-10 player next season had he not gotten injured.

That said, I'd rather take the Jazz than the Lakers. Don't forget with Yao out last season, we owned the Jazz with both Mac and Mutombo having huge nights. Mac seems to go off on the Jazz more easily. The Lakers, meanwhile, have Kobe Bryant. And I wouldn't wanna face Kobe Bryant in any playoff matchup.

People seem to forget Gasol because he didnt play in the last game vs the Rockets.

true, but he is not as physically imposing as the bigs in utah. jerry sloan demands toughness and physicality out of all his players and it clearly bothered us last year. of course that goes out the window if they have bynum back, our frontline would be easily destroyed in that case.

we don't seem to have much difficulty getting good shots against the lakers, but we really struggle against the jazz. therefore i would much prefer the lakers without bynum than utah.

As someone mentioned in another thread, the top bracket has 1 vs 8 & 4 vs 5 while the bottom bracket is 3 vs 6 & 2 vs 7. Therefore I'd rather play Utah in the 1st round. That means we are the 5th seed with HCA and then play the winner of the NO/Denver series in the 2nd round. That sure beats the hell out of facing SA, Dallas and Phoenix or LAL in the 1st 2 rounds.

lakers and jazz, they don't make a huge difference imo. our chances of winning or losing a series against either one is about the same.

i don't have a preference b/w the jazz and the lakers (even with bynum).
