Police: Girls Stage Attack For Internet Video Eight Charged In Beating Of 16-Year-Old POSTED: 9:35 pm EDT April 7, 2008 UPDATED: 9:59 pm EDT April 7, 2008 Officials in Florida released videotape Monday of an attack by six teenagers on a 16-year-old girl -- an attack that officials said the teens filmed just so they could post on the Internet, the Orlando Sentinel reported. Polk Sheriff Grady Judd called the tape and the attack, "shocking -- I've never seen anything like it... this is outrageous behavior." The beating took place on March 30 when the girl was lured to a Lakeland, Fla., home. According to authorities that's where two of the attackers began yelling at the victim, and another girl began beating her and slamming her head into a wall. The victim lost consciousness, but when she awoke, a total of six teenage girls began beating her and videotaping the attack -- all while laughing and encouraging each other, the sheriff's office said. Meanwhile, two teen boys kept watch outside. Click here to find out more! The victim suffered a concussion as well as damage to her left eye and left ear, and numerous bruises. All eight of the teenagers were charged with felony battery and false imprisonment. In addition, three of the suspects were also charged with felony kidnapping, because officials said they forced the victim into a vehicle and drove her to another location after the attack. http://www.nbc6.net/news/15819673/detail.html --- What were they thinking?

I saw an interview on TV with a police officer involved with the arrests. He said the girls showed zero remorse and I was asking if she could go to cheerleading practice the next day. Apparently, they didn't like something the victim wrote on facebook (or myspace, one of the two). He recommended to the DA's office they be tried as adults. I hope they are.
What disturbs me is that they seem to be proud of what they have done... they can't wait to let everyone on the internet knows they are the ones who beats up the other girl.
Video Here is of the video of part of the beat down... I can't watch it becuz I am at work, maybe someone can tell me how is it?
The video on the news website has sound (unlike some posted on youtube)...I almost threw up. The girl is getting the living **** beat out of her and she's just sobbing and crying. Ugh.
You would have to call the police and have them arrested first. And like the hippie scum you are, you have made it very clear how much you despise police officers.
I guess I am the new object of your bizarre and illogical internet b****-fest... I guess I could just shoot all these girls in the back as they run away. I know you support that kind of "justice"... twit.
Wow, I thought you guys knew eachother or something and he was just playing around, I didn't know that it was still the 60's in Mr. M's mind.
The video is a lot less brutal than I expected given the level of outrage and comments about throwing up. The victim is speaking pretty calmly even at the end. I don't know what the level of damage to her ear and eye were, but I have been in fights with my brother that looked a lot worse.
I think the outrage is not from the severity but from the very idea of it *sigh* The cynic in me was waiting for someone to come out and say everything was planned. . . that even the 'victim' was in on it Alas . .. i don't think that is true After seeing the interview with the parents Rocket River Sad Sad Sad
I don't get why the news has to show the video. Our sick media has a way of gratifying these weirdos and their copycats. It's like the whole glorification of terror leaders. I thought Meowgi was a buddhist "in training". You know the kind who eats meat, copy and pastes good writing, but can't seem to get a grip on controlling his trollish temper. But it's all good for him. The less he delves into self reflection, the less he doesn't have to see his ugly, bitter, and racist self. To call him a Buddhist in jest is like calling David Duke a Muslim.
