hey guys here are some pics that were taken at the game yesterday. the owner of my company gave me the company seats but wanted me to take a co-worker (so he could essentially give her tickets as well while not giving up another game) either way she was a good sport and painted her face and i loaned her a tmac jersey (that was way too big for her) StupidMoniker and tm1ym11 went with us to the game, but they were sitting on the other side (actually closer seats too!) but before the game they were chilling with us in our section since it was closer to the rockets bench and the entrance to the visitors tunnell. We took a picture with Bill and Matt but unfortunately the picture came out blurry, hopefully StupidMoniker or tm1ym11 has a better one with one of the cameras they had. anyways we got there before the game and the same guys (at least I usually see) were out warming up early, novak, hayes, landry, scola, brooks and battier. battier left the court first. I was wearing my scola jersey and as he was leaving I was able to get his attention to get a picture with him. He was happy I was wearing his jersey and laughed when I told him last time it was only me and his uncle who were wearing it. now i am on the step above him one quick side note about scola, most of the time the players during this pre-game warm up will acknowledge fans since the arena is empty and its quiet for the most part. scola though would always acknowledge me/us during the pre-game itself when the music is playing and the entire team is out there. most of the other guys would purposefully ignore everyone else but luis is cool enough to wave or give us a fist shake or smile. he did that again today when he came over to the bench during layup drills to get something from one of the media people. landry was leaving next and I actually just waved and called his name to say hi and wanted him to wave back. I had gotten a picture with carl in vegas earlier and didnt want to bother him again. while he was signing autos for some kids he kept looking back at me with this upset look at his face and then motioned me to come over. so i walked over there and StupidMoniker and I took a picture with him. He was upset at me for not having a 14 jersey. I told him I was proud at the way he has been playing and to keep it up a couple of hand shakes and hand pounds later he was on his way to the locker room. stupidmoniker and I with carl the usher got mad at us for calling players over take pictures. whatever i was surprised cuz like if the players are cool with it the ushers shouldnt care. and my steve novak story, poor guy i think he is scared of me. when we walked into our section steve was talking to bullard and I yelled his name and he waved and I asked if I could take another picture with him. I told him I still have his jersey he signed for me in vegas and he said he remembered me. I asked him I needed one of his to replace it since i cant wear a signed jersey. he laughed and said to wait for him after his warmups to take a picture. But then Steve ran into the locker room like a bat out of hell. I kept screaming his name but he went straight in. I'll get him again soon though. just some random other pics havent really tried to upload others. hopefully tm1ym11 and stupidmoniker can post some of the ones they took. hayesfan for you: oh this family was the bomb, the entire family had on different rocket jerseys one of the younger girls had a hayes jersey but she wasnt in this pic...the dad had a landry, mom a scola, oldest girl a deke, and the boys had battier, head and tmac. there were all really cool and we met up with them outside our section at half and after the game. some other people, random clipper or fans at the game asked us to all get together and take pictures with their cameras! thats right we rep so hard other ppl are amazed! i know a bunch of other guys have pics post them up. one guy after we walked out (i was on the phone) was wearing a white tmac (championship years style) throwback jersey and asked if we were from the boards never got his name though.
That is the bomb... We repped our Rockets gear when we were in LA the day after the Rockets beat the Lakers for #22... We were in Disneyland and then went to ESPN Zone... watching those highlights in my Battier jersey was like being a celebrity that no one wanted to meet... This is my future set-up btw... Hee hee... Rockets fans are everywhere!
Great pictures YoYo! I was actually trying to spot you or Carlos during the game to invite you up to the Luxury Suite during half-time since we had extra food and everything, but I couldn't remember which section you guys were at. I got to the game during when the players were already on the court for the shoot around so I the arena was already packed and very difficult to spot people. The arena was pretty dead, but from the suite, I could see Rockets jerseys all over the place so that was really cool. I have the guys number still so next year if you guys want, we can try to set up something with all the SoCal Rockets fans. I was able to get the entire suite for $55 a person and took 3 others with me. So it was a blast. Only problem about the suite was that you can trash-talk with the opposing team's fans. But since it was a blow-out, there wasn't much talking anyways. Glad to see you guys had fun and that family with the Rockets jerseys is awesome! I was able to get backstage once again and I was surprised that Shane Battier still remembered me from the Clippers game last year. As he was running out back to the court for the player's introduction, he say me by the visitor's locker room and came over to say hi and shake my hand! That was really cool of the guy! Also, I got to meet Elgin Baylor and talk to him. Great guy!

Haha, gotta love Cuttino. I could see him returning to Houston to end his career. My dream lineup is: PG - Francis SG - Cat SF- T-Mac PF - Scola C - Yao 6th man - Sam Cassel From the Championship era (Sam) to the new era (Scola), this lineup has it all! Nostalgia FTW!
Dude, I was at the game too, but I wasn't wearing my jersey (it was a last minute thing, I didn't have it with me). I think I actually saw some of you guys, I was running around talking to all the people with the Rockets jerseys on to get some Rockets cheers up or something, but every time I started a cheer, my section got dead quiet (quieter than they normally were) and stared at me, so I stopped after a while. BTW, did you guys hear the Clippers fan that kept screaming "Lets go Clippers, Lets Go"? That guy had some serious lungs.
That is Clipper Daryl. He is like the Clippers #1 fan. I think they had a story about him on a national pregame one time.
hey!! that was me. good to see other rox fans there, and way to rep, yoyo! it seems like half the ppl i ran into at the game were rox fans. if you heard a bunch of girls screaming for Battier from the upper deck, that was part of our group. for some reason, they got a thing for him. hahah. anyway, if i'm not too busy, i'm down to be a part of the LA roll call.
I was at the game. I sat in a similar section but on the opposite end, rows behind Malcolm in the Middle and his cute girlfriend with the nice fake rack. I might recall seeing you guys, after the game heading to exits making hella noise? My friend took all the pics, might upload some if he sends me any. All game action, no player encounters.

Hey SoCal Rockets fans, We should all try to get together for some of the playoff games and go to a bar/restaurant or meet up at someone's house and just order pizza/drinks. Its always more fun to watch the games with fellow fans. When I am watching the game by myself at home, my mom thinks I am going crazy because I start throwing cuss words at the television and players. Once the playoff schedules come out, we should start to discuss some ideas. Yeah last time it was only me and his uncle, since the jerseys were only on sale at the TC but now its available online. I didnt get him to sign the jersey, I dont like autographs too much really because then I cant wear the jersey again and jerseys arent cheap to keep buying multiple ones. I have my novak jersey signed but even that wasnt really my idea it was some kid who kept handing steve the marker and he signed it but yeah now i cant wear it and its not always cheap to get a customized jersey. thanks for the clip OGK yeah I was trying to see where you were, we need to exchange phone #s I am down for meeting up to watch all the playoff games and all.
I said if the players were cool with it the ushers shouldnt care, apparently steve wasnt cool with it this time, he was in vegas. but he did stay out there a lot later than landry and scola did so he didnt have much time to stay probably had to go in and shower and change.
maybe Novak saw you early on and warned the usher to "keep that yoyo away from me." you ever think of that? huh? yeah, stalkers usually have all sorts of ways to deal with rejection. Some invent plausible reasons, "Oh, she was just busy that day."
