"It's definitely meaningful to beat a team like Utah, a team we're trying to get in the hunt to try to catch," Francis said. "Utah always seems to be one of those tough competitors we seem to have problems with late in the game. But today was a good game for us executing."

I don't know if it's a good idea to put his mind on making the playoffs. It's too much stress for anyone to take. Possibly causing his migraines?(stress)

Anyone think we have any hope of making the playoffs? What do you guys think of Francis' statement?

Yes Jendeh , Rockets have a chance if they start winning games. They need to go on winning streaks, no loss , win , loss. Time is running out, its going to take a miracle.

No way in hell we make the playoffs, although Feb. is a favorable schedule for us. We dug ourselves into a big hole in December....

Koskesh francis3, it's going to take a LOT more than a winning streak to make it into the playoffs. Two stretches of something like 10 wins out of 12 games each. That's a combined 20-4. can we do it? When Mo Taylor comes back, we'll start to have a bench. After the All Star break, Griff's production WILL go up. Cato is playing better. There seems to be a cure for Steve's migraines. Cat has almost 10 days to rest his ankles completely. Willis may come out of his slump. T-Mo may learn from his minutes, and , oh yeah, Walt will also give us more of a bench.

Is it possible? All these positive factors. It would be a miracle. We'd deserve MAJOR recognition if we finished at .500, even if we missed the playoffs.

With 32 games left, and only 16 wins, I don't see it happening. We could win an amazing 25 games(25-7 to finish the season) and still only win 41 games, probably out of the playoffs. I think for any chance to make it, we'd have to go at least 28-4 to finish.

    It's time for a 12 game winning streak. It's conceivable :).

We said that before losing Taylor and Rice for the season and Francis for 20 games (out of 50).

While I don't think there is much of a chance, there is a small glimmer of hope. IMO the Jazz will fall on their long road streak. If we can make up 4-5 games on them over these games, we could be within reach, but we still need Phoenix, Seattle and the Clippers(I can't believe I said the Clippers!!!) to lose a few games too.

They may not make the playoffs, but there's nothing to lose by trying.

This team needs to learn to win more than it needs a number 5 pick.
