When my wife was teaching high school she had some students who had children with family members. She even got to meet some of the children, and they were proud for you to meet them. More people have kids like this than you would think. :)

It means he likes hot inbred sex...

Seriously though, while it's taboo in almost every culture to marry within your immediate family (i.e. incest between brother/sister, mother/son, father/daughter), it's also very common where you have cousins who marry each other, usually in smaller rural towns with more traditional settings...yes, even here in America.

As I've mentioned once before, it's rather common/encouraged within royal circles so as to keep the family wealth 'in house', so there is a practical purpose for it.

Agreed. In fact, I think this is as good a time as any to announce that I am actually my own Father.

I remember seeing a special on 20/20 or nightline or something somwhere, that a town in italy, or france, or greece somewhere had a town of people that were immune to heart disease. Turns out they all have the same last name.

*5 mins later*..... I forgot my point.

And this is why hemophilia was so prevalent in the Russian royal family and why so many royal houses had trouble maintaining their lineages.
