    There are a couple of “niche” games coming out that might be good, although I didn't bother listing them. Mostly PC/PS2/handheld stuff, like usual. Other than that, it didn't seem like a lot of publishers wanted to put out their major games in a month with a new GTA, particularly one that also had a new Mario Kart and Gran Turismo game. :)

    What is this...GTA IV you speak of? I've never heard of it. I doubt many people are going to get it.

    Mario Kart looks alot better in this video than the last one I saw posted here.

    I have a great idea for a videogame.

    A game where you are in a city and can do whatever you want and go where ever you feel like. You can steal cars off the street and even run over hookers with them :D .

    Cool idea huh? It'll be controversial and sell millions of copy for being so.

    I have mine pre-ordered. Apparently I get to go pick it up that Monday night at Midnight if I want. I've never done that for a game, probably won't for this one either.

    Here's an interveiw with a xbox guy who has played through the entire game. I would say it's mostly spoiler-free.

    RC what do you know about the rumor that EA might delay IV if they take over Take-Two? That would be a huge bummer.

    Dualshock 3's should be here this week too!

    I haven't heard that one, although I've been out of the loop when it comes to rumors lately.

    On the surface, it wouldn't really make sense to me. IIRC, the reason why they decided to start going after Take Two now and not earlier was because they didn't want to negatively impact GTA IV in any way. I can't even think of any reasons why EA would even want to delay the game actually. Maybe the rumor(s) gave some reasons that I can't think of right now...

    OK, I tracked down the "rumor." It is basically just speculation on the part of Michael Pachter in the latest Bonus Round segment at Gametrailers:

    He said if EA took over, they would have an economic incentive to delay it. He didn't really explain why, so I'm not sure where he was going with that (unless he just meant a slight delay to slap the EA name all over GTA IV). They said something about EA possibly being the white knight that comes in to help out Rockstar in the case that it needs more time, money, etc (Take Two doesn't really have anything left, they need this game out now). If that is what he meant, then yeah, I guess this would make sense. I've just assumed that Rockstar was pretty much done with the game and didn't really need to spend anymore time developing the game. Plus, it was almost like a what-if scenario, seemingly coming up with reasons why GTA IV might not be released on April 29th (although Michael seemed pretty sure this might happen if EA did step in).

    In any case, I doubt this will happen. This segment was filmed weeks ago (or more?), when it may have still been possible for EA to takeover TT before GTA's release. At this point, there isn't enough time left for EA to step in and delay the game.

    Anyone else playing Persona 3: FES, particularly anyone that didn't play Persona 3? I haven't had much time lately, but I did sit down and play it over the weekend. I'm not very far (although still have 25+ hrs clocked in :eek: ), but I'm really enjoying it. I don't regret skipping over the original since FES is so much better (cheaper, more content, tweaks, etc.), but I do feel sort of bad about not playing it when it came out. I think it probably would have been my 2007 GOTY easily, assuming the last 60-80 hours are as enjoyable as the first 20 or so. I've been kind of surprised by the production values (good/great voice acting for a JRPG, nice animated cutscenes, good dialogue, great soundtrack, etc.).

    Anyone with a Wii: YOU ARE REQUIRED TO BUY OKAMI. Seriously. It should be on your list of must-haves, along with Zelda, Metroid 3, and pretty much all the Mario games (Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart Wii, Mario Strikers Charged, and Super Smash Brothers Brawl).

    By the way, anyone with a DS and looking for something a little different; The World Ends With You is really pretty entertaining 'Action RPG'.

    Combat is a little difficult at first ( like the review states ) but overall it's one of the most original games I've played (particularly on the DS). Nothing quite like it.
