Beat me to it. I think I owe TJ an apology, though. I've just realized my memory was faulty. It wasn't "Balack Hussein Obama", it was "Balack Osama", which is much more clever, as it combines what he hopes are the two very last things people want in the White House.
Tongue...cheek...something like that. Upon further review, it appears I did a bad job making that known. I will say though that I often have wondered how they derive the people they poll for the newspaper polls. I have been around a while, and I have never been polled for anything. I don't personally know anybody who (to my knowledge) has been polled for anything. It is curious to me.
I was legitimately telephone polled once during the 2004 election. Also had two ridiculous push polls that year.
So you were hit up by polls three times. Is it kind of like Amway? They get your address and you're screwed for life.
Oh, I understand that. It's closer to how one might Anglicize the Arabic name, if "Obama" were Arabic (actually, I don't think it is). Look, the important thing is he's black. And Arabic. Whichever is worse. Oh yeah, and he has roots in a country with a 10% Muslim population, so we have to be wary.
We all know the black guy usually gets the nod in this country when it comes down to selecting leadership positions.
I have been push polled a couple of times, but nothing that seemed legitimate like a CNN or Gallup poll.
