would we have home court advantage against utah? i know we are the 5 seed but i was under the impression that the team with the better record got the home court advantage. HELP ME!
yes we would have home court. seeding will be determined by division and record, but home court will be determined solely on record. a few years back when the league made it so the 3 division winners were the top 3 seeds (as opposed to now where the top 4 are the 3 division winners and the next highest record and its seeded by record) the clippers tanked games to face denver in the first round (who was a third seed due to old division rule) so they could have HCA. so yeah as long as the rockets have a better record than utah they will have HC...i think it will really come down to the game in Utah as to who will have home court
Yes, the team with the best record will always have home court advantage. This means that is very possible that the 5th seed (us) will have home court advantage against the 4th seed.
this question was answered last year when we were the 5th seed with the homecourt advantage over the 4th seed. /thread
i took a quick glance at the 1st page and didn't see anything. i guess i could have asked in the magic number thread.
