Harlan really seems to have a soft spot for the Rockets and McGrady in particular, IMO. He always strikes me as just a touch biased in our favor as opposed to the other nat'l broadcasters who call it pretty evenly. I'm not complaining; I really like some of his over the top calls, like "With no regard for human life!" for KG.

I hope he calls the Rox playoff games this year.

Doug Collins isn't very good, but I'll always cherish the time when, after the McGrady dunk, he just said: "Shawn Bradley!"

As for Hubie, he is amazingly knowledgeable. He is uncanny in saying things right before they happen. His eyes and hair are ridiculous, but it's crazy how often he says that some team or coach likes to run something in this situation, then that's exactly what they do.

Like he was mentioning Battier as a DPOY nominee and then immediately Battier starts swatting shots and getting steals...

    It is pretty eerie...

Doug Collins might not be the most invigorating guy, but thank god he is not Reggie Miller. Reggie is an idiot who is just trying to be friends with the other announcers. He is such a flirt.

I was in Headliners Sports Bar in Nacogdoches, Tx drinking a pitcher of budlight. I was sitting next to my drunk ass roommate who is a huge Mavs fan so it was awesome. I don't think I've ever gotten over that series :(

van gundy makes 6 correct predicitions every sunday. another one was when phoenix called a timeout and van gundy was commenting on how mike d'antoni is one of the best coaches creating plays from a timeout.

"i would look for him to have the inbound passer throw the ball towards the rim and have an athletic player like marion go up for it"... exactly what happened.

they're both good. nothing wrong w/ hubie brown. he has a lot of basketball knowledge. he's basically JVG w/o the hilarious commentary. which doesn't mean hubie's not good. it just explains why JVG is goat commentator.
